My family and I stayed here Fri the 9th thru Sun the 11th of Sept 2016. When we were leaving on Sunday my index finger started itching but I thought nothing of it. I must explain that right now, my wife and step daughter live in SC and I stay in NC, we are in the process of closing on...

If you are an individual with refined tastes who expects only the best....look elsewhere. If you're an individual who likes to be frugal, but doesn't mind getting by with less than luxurious surroundings for a bit, it's a good choice. This is a mom and pop hotel which probably goes back to the 60's (or earlier). I understand they have...

This motel is older which we thought would be charming, but we were disappointed. The room was a decent size but the mattresses needed replacing and the window a/c unit was super loud. Parking was quite tight and limited. My largest complaint was that most of the doors of the rooms seemed to be too tight and so everyone in...

Reasonably cheap, reasonably clean, very dated property, probably suited best for fisherpersons not looking for/expecting more than a shower & a bed. Room I had was very, very small, as was bath. Bed more or less ok. Sheets, comforter very thin & faded. Had to move coffee pot to a chair to use it due to lack of outlets. Could...

We love Oak Island. Not the fanciest place but great staff, great owners, clean rooms, great prices. This is the only place we would want to stay here.Great seafood across the street. Beautiful town. Great people.

Fancy? NO! Modern? NO! Old school charm? Yes! This little motel has its own little niche...in my opinion. It is very, very pet friendly, which was crucial for this trip. There were no extra fees, no size limitations. Our golden retriever was greeted with a gift bag, and all of the staff knew him by name from that point. The...

Front desk clerk Super Nice!!! All other staff Super Nice!! Owner not so nice. Witnessed her working the second shift daily she would walk around the entire hotel checking up on everything(being Nosey) Just checking her investment I'm sure. But I what was most disturbing was the fact that if she saw something that she didn't like per say she...

We have stayed at the Oak Island location twice. The first time was in March 2015 and the rate was very reasonable but had lots of noise in the room above us. At this time we found out that they are pet friendly. So when we stayed again in May 2015 we had actually moved to Oak Island and waited...

Stayed two nights with my daughter who was home from college for the summer. Wanted to take her somewhere quiet and nice. Things I liked: outdoor grills and picnic tables. Rooms had real keys, not cards. Proximity to the beach. The beach itself was beautiful and quiet. I can't say the same for our room. The people next to us...

Add a dirty run down facility with erratic wifi, sketchy tv reception and no air conditioning for a wonderful weekend. As a bonus the owners will start their wreck of a Buick at 5 am treating all within earshot to a wake up call to put Harley Davidson to shame. A very poor value for the money
