Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed with Rob and Gabi back in the summer for a long weekend. They treated us so well! We also loved the saturday night bonfire. When we had the opportunity to come back, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

I am a biker that has been to maggie many times but 3 weeks before valentine my girlfriend and i went skiing /snowboarding for our first time so my usual camping was right out as far as she was concerned so we looked online for a good deal in maggie valley well to be honest we where a bit scared for i had heard that camping was as good as it gets in some places in the valley but holiday really surprised us the staff are amazing the rooms while dated where clean and comfortable and the lil diner great but the ski trip only allowed us a few hours a day in this nice lil place so when it came time to plan our valentine weekend we decided to not stay local but to drive the 3 hours back to holiday to stay in their efficiency the kitchen again dated and a lil ruff around the edges

This was my second trip to the smoky mountains in which I stayed at A Holiday Motel. The service was wonderful, the breakfast at the Diner was great, and Rob and Gabi were hard at work , but still made time to be social and accomodating. If you plan to stay in the Maggie Valley area, do yourself a favor and try out A Holiday Motel.

Rob and Gabi are two of the most gracious hosts that I know. they go above and beyond to take care of customers staying at the hotel. This is my second stay with them and I consider their place my home away from home when I go to the mountains. Very clean rooms, and everyone is super friendly. Couldnt ask for much more. Be sure to check them out when your in Maggie Valley

If you are looking for a place to just sleep, then this will fit the bill. This is a no frills motel in need of a bit of an update. We decided to stay after seeing they were #1 here on Tripadvisor and we usually trust the reviews here. Yes, the service is great and accommodating. Yes, the price is right. Yes, they are biker friendly. Yes, our room with 2 queen beds was quite large. But my main issue was just that it seemed rundown. Now I don't know anything about running a hotel and obviously the folks @ A Holiday Motel are doing something right but for ME, I was looking for a bit more. We checked in at night and the next day as we drove around I saw plenty of places that looked like what I expected from A Holiday Motel. Would we stay here again? Sure if there was nothing

My friends and family take a yearly trip to Maggie Valley and stay at the Holiday Motel This was the first trip my wife and I took with them. The Motel is in a very beautiful location the staff that by the way is Mom PoP and a friend were very accommodating, they bent over backwards to insure we had the best trip possible. The rooms were clean and comfortable; they could use some updating but is what you would expect for the location and age of the resort. I have seen a couple of bad reviews for this place and I would bet that those people did things that did not go with the peaceful pristine beauty of Maggie Valley and all there wonderful friendly residents that call it home.

My wife and a few of my close frineds and I took a motorcycle trip to Maggie Valley. One of the participants stayed here before and would not accept staying anywhere else in Maggie Valley. I am glad he was so persistant! This down to earth country atmosphere is complete with friendliness, cleanliness, comfort and what a location - right in the heart of Maggie! Our hosts Gabi and Rob were always around and had time to talk with us and make recomendations for places to go and places to eat. They made our stay in Maggie worth the 15 hour ride for sure. They understand their customers and know what each group is looking for and by far, in my opinion, provides that expected service far and beyond other places we've stayed in the past. I would not stay anywhere else when in

A friend and I just spent 3 nights here while hiking in the mountains. As previous reviewers have said, Rob and Gabi run a lovely motel--clean, comfortable, and economical. The views from the porch rockers look like pictures from postcards of the mountains. The rooms have a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, making it easy to have meals in the room. There are also picnic tables in the grassy area near the pool. Weloved the peaceful atmosphere and would definitely stay here again.

Rob was VERY helpful and would have done anything to make our trip more enjoyable. The property, pool and our room was very clean. Busy week there and yet after 9 no noise at all. Plan on returning, love the area and will stay with Rob and his family!
