Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I needed to get away, relax, and unplug. I've never stayed in the country before, so I was a bit concerned about how I'd be received by everyone, but upon arrival, all concerns were cleared away by the gracious hospitality of everyone I encountered there. I loved the property and all that it had to offer, and everyone I came in contact with were incredibly polite and sweet, even when I ventured outside of the resort into town I received southern hospitality. I loved that the property was close to the beautiful Sunset Beach. Being my first time to the Carolina's I drove to Myrtle Beach to visit, but let me tell you. Sunset Beach is no comparison to Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach has nothing on the wonderful Sunset Beach! The amenities at Whispering Pines were clean, close, very relaxing and convenient for camping. I had a wonderful visit and thoroughly enjoyed the freedom of nudity and felt very comfortable and safe during my visit. I was able to experience the inside of one of the rental campers, and my only recommendation is that the furniture is outdated. Other than that the rental was clean, the bed was comfy, and good for a simple stay. My last night there I hung out at the clubhouse with other guests and had a blast dancing, playing pool, and great conversations! I will definitely return and recommend this resort for other nudists to visit.
Sincerely,
Ebony

We rented a "park model" camper, and when we first walked in our impression was not a good one. The unit and furnishings were dated and the place smelled musty, but then we realized it was clean and perfectly adequate. Air freshener purchased at a nearby grocery store helped. The grounds are nice and fairly well kept. When we learned how much the owner had done since he had purchased it a few years ago, we were more impressed. The members are extremely friendly and welcomed us with open arms during the evening activities.

I rated it very good, based on our reception. This is the only one we have stayed at. The regulars made us feel welcome and at ease. We stayed in a trailer, it wasn't new, but it was in decent condition. We definitely plan on returning.

We've been there many times with 35' Travel Trailer. They have pull through sites that are big rig friendly among others as well. Members are very friendly as well are the owners. Ive found, I cannot be stressed being nude in the pool or any where else on their grounds. Always a fun weekend event or some sort of activity.

Review, what review?.? Can't even visit, as a single person. If I take my wife, come on. Oh she doesn't want to go, you can't either.... This came directly from the contact on their website. I have emails to show the dialoge.

Very disappointed. Their site makes it seem like they're very hospitable, friendly, and open. I called ahead for a day visit and was asked if it was me and my wife visiting. I said no, just me (single male and active duty military). They flat out said no I couldn't visit. No explanation or apology. Been an active nudist and AANR member for over 10 years and never been treated that way by a proclaimed AANR affiliated resort. I had one day out of a week long trip all to myself and wanted to spend it by the pool. They should be more honest about their policies on the site. They ABSOLUTELY discrimate if you're not a couple. I'm sure if I were a single female, it would have been a different story. Wasted my time. You're welcome for your freedom to be jerks by the way.

I just wanted to get away from it all, unplug and relax...and Whispering Pines fit the bill perfectly. It was extremely quiet and very relaxing. Sitting in the evening and listening to the frogs and crickets was extremely calming and soothing.

The club is off the beaten path but still easy to find. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and friendly. The resort itself is great; pool, hot tub, wifi, clubhouse...etc. There's a bathhouse available with indoor and outdoor showers. There is a great walking / golf cart trail around the resort that is the perfect length for taking a leisurely stroll through the woods.

There are definitely more couples there than singles (I'm pretty sure I was the only single there) and like most nudist clubs, it's a slightly older crowd (40's and up, although someone had their grandson running around there for the weekend I was there).

If you are an experienced nudist, or have ever been curious about trying it, I would definitely suggest giving Whispering Pines a try.

Thanks to the owner, John for being a good host!

As anyone, who has visited a nudist resort knows...There always seems to be cliques that can keep a first time visitor from enjoying their visit. That is not the case at Whispering Pines! All the members made Shelly and feel like we had been coming for years. The facilities are well maintained. The grounds are beautiful. The pool area is large and can accommodate a crowd. But, it's the people that make this place a "must stop" to any nudist, or someone thinking of trying nudism for the first time.

I called several times NO ONE would answer the phone. Drove there as I was looking at homes in the area gates closed. Called several more time with in a 3 day period still NO ANSWER. I wanted to make a reservation but NO ONE would answer the phone. I went to website to make a reservation it sent me to a different location/campground. How can you run a business if you NEVER answer the phone. Your website is OUTDATED. So far my review is very POOR.
