My Husband and I came here for our first year anniversary celebration on March 17th-19th so expectations were set high and I was pregnant with our daughter. First off, The women at the front desk was amazing; they treated us like royalty. We were upgraded from a standard room to

Their morning breakfast is a great way to start our day. The ladies there are absolutely wonderful, caring, great cooks, and always greet us with a smile. We have been returning for 8 straight years and we will continue to return if the good Lord is willing. These folks to me

Just stayed one night oceanfront. Very nice accommodation. Elevator and luggage dollies which is very helpful. We had a comfortable king sized bed, kitchenette that was stocked with microwave, coffee pot, toaster, small refrigerator, small sink, silverware, blender, dishes,

This is at least the fourth time we have been guests, always in the off season, and find it to be a good value and great experience. The hotel's own option to bid on the room in the off season is a wonderful idea. Hard to find, have to go to the bottom of the

Dear pga007, Thank you for returning to The Winds and thank you for providing us with your feedback. I’m glad you had another great experience here with us. I do apologize for the confusion you encountered during the bidding process. Indeed, the bid you submitted specified oceanfront accommodations. Additionally, you noted that you “desire…above [the] 1st floor.” While our patio level accommodations (the first floor), are oceanfront, they have a garden view rather than an ocean view. Since you eliminated a 1st floor Hibiscus Suite from consideration with your request, the Guest Services Representative you worked with accommodated you in a Hibiscus Suite on the second floor. That placed you in a suite that is simultaneously oceanfront (as per your request) AND ocean view (that is, not on the first floor). I hope that helped to clarify matters rather than confuse them further. We look forward to welcoming you back for a fifth stay and again providing you with just what you need. Kind regards, Garison Kaufman Guest Services Manager

We were on the second floor over looking the pool, nice little porch and view of the ocean and close to the breakfast room, good breakfasts as well. BobRoss

I am not familiar with the cottages, Sure the front desk would be more than happy to answer your questions.

I believe that they do accept pets, at an extra charge. My memory is that the pets could not be left in the rooms alone. Best to check with the management for particulars. The Islander Inn, on the other end of Ocean Isle, also accepts pets in special pet rooms, also at an extra charge.
