The Captain's Landing definitely feels like our second home. We continue to visit each Thanksgiving and Spring Break. There is no place like it on Ocracoke or the entire Outer Banks for that matter. Betty, George, Trish, Javier, and Anne are the consummate hosts. We love our time in this wonderful hotel. It's location on Silver Lake is perfect...views of... More

Even the ground floor rooms have a wonderful view and no need to climb the stairs to the more expensive rooms!. I thought we were getting a standard hotel room but it looks like everything is suites and therefore much better value. Small reasonably equipped kitchen and everything very clean. A comfortable bed and a wonderful view. Hard to beat... More

This was the first visit to Ocracoke for my wife, who professed a love for "small, seaside, quaint towns" when we first started dating, and I finally brought her here for her birthday this year. It was the first time for both of us at Captain's Landing, and we had a wonderful time! The staff were top notch: very accommodating... More

We stayed in the upper level suite with another couple and had a wonderful stay. It is a two bedroom suite with a huge master suite and a smaller 2nd bedroom with two full sized mattresses (it was cozy for sure). There is a nicely stocked kitchen, large dining table and plenty of seating along with the beautiful front and... More

Great Location! Can't be beat. Clean.Comfortable.Friendly. Will definitely stay again!!! We came right after hurricane Hermine-the island had been evacuated and the ferries started running again the day we were scheduled to arrive-Betty and staff were wonderful in staying in touch, making sure we got there ok!

We stay at captain's landing every time we are here....absolutely love the staff and owners. You couldn't ask for nicer people. The fully equipped kitchen is amazing for cooking fresh seafood! Amazing game views from the deck.

We had our annual vacation in the Penthouse of the Captain's Landing. We had a wonderful time, as always. The view is spectacular and the owners and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. We enjoy our time on Ocracoke and treasure the memories we make. Can't wait until next year!

Karen and Betty went out of their way to make our journey to and stay at Captains Landing a wonderful experience. We arrived on the first ferry allowed following Hurricane Hermine. What a beautiful view from the living room and bedroom. You cannot find nicer people to deal with. Karen loaned us to a couple of George's favorite movies, which... More
