Owners Dave and Alison Walker welcome visitors to their family run guest house, offering guests a perfect location for both business and holiday. The family dog, Tarn, greets each guest with a wagging tail and loves attention. Furain serves as an excellent base from which to explore both Royal Deeside and the city of Aberdeen. There is a local bus service just outside the door, offering regular transport to both destinations. We're just a 10 minute drive from the airport, using the Aberdeen bypass. Lovely house and host. Spotlessly clean and adhering to all COVID measures. Stayed in enormous family room - comfy beds, quality bedding. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was tight access off a busy road - not great for large vehicles!

After a long days travel by air, our overnight stay at Furain was a welcome rest. We were warmly met and assisted by our host, Allison, and given all the information and guidance we needed. She was of great assistance in ordering dinner delivered to us as we were quite beat from a long days traveling. The room was warm, comfortable and well appointed for the age and history of the house. Our breakfast was prepared and served by her husband, Dave. My traditional Scottish breakfast was wonderfully done. Dave gave use an insightful history of not only the house, but surrounding countryside. I would certainly recommend a stay at Furain when next in or near Aberdeen or Peterculter Scotland.

Furain is a lovely family run hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Alison and Dave ,the owners ,are welcoming and are very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. They really should include tourist information in their list of services. The breakfast menu is wide ranging and everything is tasty. Be prepared to put on a few pounds if you’re staying for a few days!

Spotlessly clean, lots of toiletries etc in room, comfy beds, friendly owners, and freshly cooked breakfasts with plenty of choices. Have stayed a number of times in different rooms this year and thoroughly recommend, great value and a short drive to the City, plus a decent pub and excellent Nepalese restaurant nearby. Handy also for striking out to Crathes, Banchory, and Ballater/Braemar.
