Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely big room. Very clean, good shower. Alison, Dave and Stanley were very friendly. I can recommend Dave's homemade lemon curd for breakfast. B&B handy and in walking distance for various pubs and restaurants.

Spent three nights in this lovely B&B early July 2023. Really comfortable stay. Bed quality excellent. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Dave and Alison made me feel very welcome and offered lots of recommendations to pass time. Breakfast ingredients were of a high standard and I highly recommend the pancakes and bacon, with maple syrup. Other B&B owners should visit for a night or two and learn how it should be done.

Spent a weekend there last month. Rooms were very nice. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was large and shower was great. Downstairs dining room was bright and well laid out. The owner I believe her name was Alison was charming and very helpful. Really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend the Furain. Len Duncan Houston, Texas.

It was such a pleasure to stay at Furain, Alison and Dave were super welcoming and realxed at the same time. Furain is a wonderfull place to stay, Peterculter is close to the hills and the city is around the corner at the same time! Doggy Stanley just made the whole stay complete. We hope to be back one day. Thanks a million. The Bosma's

Beautiful house. A very warm welcome from Alison. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Lovely white bed linen and towels. A bottle of water in the room. We had a twin room and the beds were very comfy. Had a lovely walk along the river in Peterculter. Breakfast was superb. We had the honour of meeting beautiful Stanley the dog. This B & B is top notch and great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

We were lucky enough to get a room at the Furain Guest House Bed & Breakfast in April 2023. Our room was lovely! The hosts were nothing short of so very acommodating. Parking on the premise is not consistenly possible but we were advised to park just around the corner. Quite safe and lots of availability. Also within walking distance to a great place to eat withing easy walking distance of the B & B, advice of the hosts who did call ahead for availability and reservations ( which are a must, even week days). They were so kind to call for us the first time. The breakfast was so good, hot and a lovely area to breakfast in. Hosts are so very helpful with advice on ;retty much anything a tourist could want to know. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!! If you'd also like to, book well ahead.

Stayed at Furain B & B on our Scotland family vacation. They were able to accommodate 3 of us in a large spacious room. Very clean and tidy. Easy parking right in front. Great breakfast and friendly hosts. Able to walk 2 blocks to the Ploughman restaurant for supper. Overall excellent experience.

Lovely! I could end it there but might as well explain. I was doing a solo motorcycle tour of the area, and the location was pretty much perfect. Alison and Dave were great hosts, and their assistant Stanley was gorgeous! The room was perfect for my very wet bike clothing, plenty of room and plenty of hanging space. The room was superb, as was the ensuite. The breakfast was great, and service was quick, no need to go through the menu for day two and three, "same again, please Alison" and it arrived shortly after. Certainly my first choice for future travels in the area if I'm going luxury - I'm normally found in a tent but recent wet trips are definitely converting me to guest houses reinforced by the great experience at Furain. Many thanks!
