Smoked salmon, with beetroot & pickled fennel for a starter; sirloin steak, with celeriac purée and an amazing smoked potato croquette; followed by blood orange pannacotta. Food at the Prince of Wales keeps getting better and better, with interesting ingredients and intriguing twists. The bar is warm and friendly, there's a separate restaurant, or when the weather allows, what must...

Stopped by whilst in area, lovely welcome, warming fire, beer and lunch. Seafood chowder was excellent, staff most pleasant. Upkeep, decor, toilets and garden all very nice, will certainly be return again.

This pub offers such an excellent restaurant menu and fine bedrooms. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed two excellent evening meals and two excellent Cornish breakfasts. The bedroom was of a very high standard and you did not think your were above a pub, as you have a separate entrance and a very cosy lounge as well to enjoy....

Booked to attend a themed evening in the restaurant - "A Taste of Italy"- 5 courses , each with a different wine. The wine was introduced by a local wine merchant, who explained which region the wine came from and why he had chosen a particular wine for each course, which made it much more interesting. The food was beautifully...

As with the previous reviewer, we visited this delightful, out of the way pub as the result of a recommendation in the visitors' book at the cottage we were staying in nearby. We first went there for lunch where where we were made to feel very welcome by the helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed the pub's cosy atmosphere so...

We took a party of 10 for our end of holiday meal to the Prince of Wales. It was close to where we were staying, and had good recommendations both from Trip Advisor and the guest book in the house. We were not disappointed. This place is well worth a visit. This is a typical village pub, with a bar...

Very good welcome; plenty of parking. Excellent room with well chosen bed linen, hospitality tray, etc. Lots of space for clothes. Very good food. We left behind a phone charger, which was returned to us, free of charge. A family gathering in the restaurant was well organised. Altogether, a relaxed, very comfortable stay. We'll be returning!

Thank Sally R

“Our room was excellent - adjacent lounge with TV as well. Facing road.....but in a very quiet village!”
