This is a beautiful hotel in the Atlas Mountains. The room was luxurious, food plentiful and amazingly presented. The pool area was a peaceful haven. The staff were kind and friendly. Plenty to do in the local area but also a very lovely place to relax. It has a stylish retro Moroccan design that works very well.

Domaine Malika is set in a beautiful location surrounded by the High Atlas mountains. We combined our stay there with 3 days in Marrakech (1hour 15min drive through lovely scenery). We were met at the hotel entrance by Khalid who was a continued helpful and smiley presence throughout our stay. He helped us to plan an itinerary for our stay. This included a luxurious Hamman spa afternoon (we've never felt so clean or relaxed) and a guided trek on mules across the national park. We could not have done this by ourselves and the local guide, Mohammed, was extremely knowledgeable about the area. The trek included sharing mint tea and snacks at his Berber home. We visited about a month after the earthquake and are so glad we didn't cancel - it was inspiring to see how the local people have pulled together to help each other and ensure the children still receive schooling. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, although the swimming pool was not heated (they are currently building another one). The only sounds we heard were the call for prayer and cockerels crowing! The food was delicious and plentiful. Domaine Malika was a perfect retreat after a busy few days in Marrakech.

We were first apprehensive to come here only a month after the earthquake. But Domaine Malika was completely unaffected and worth every penny. Beautiful grounds, great service and food, and a slightly quirky interior. Highly recommended!

This is a luxury priced hotel. For this to be acceptable, they would need to improve their amenities and services. The location is certainly very pleasant and quiet. My room in a garden house was very acceptable, large and well appointed. The WiFi performance in the room was terrible, which in this day and age should not be the case. I could only send data from the lobby. The owners are rule driven. There is a list of obvious rules to comply with. On the day of departure, I could not pay by card as their card machine was said "not to be working". This was the 3rd out of 5 hotels with malfunctioning card machines, somewhat too much of a coincidence. My suspicion is that they want cash. I did not have enough cash and had to pay with UK£ at a terrible rate of exchange. I think such greediness is not called for when Morocco needs tourism right now after the earthquake. On balance, Malika need to much improve to be a truly pleasant luxury experience.

We were booked into this hotel for 3 nights and it was such an oasis of calm compared to the hustle & bustle of Marrakech. We were booked in to the Lodge, whilst our son was in a room in the main hotel. The rooms were spacious and the Lodge was delightfully quiet. The beds were huge and very comfortable. The food was excellent. Every meal we had was delicious. There was freshly made bread, pancakes and quiches for breakfast along with homemade jam & olive oil. One of the highlights was the kefte which were served in a tagine. The pool area and gardens were lovely and there was a great petanque pitch. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and served pre-dinner drinks on the roof terrace so we could watch the sunset. On our 2nd night we experienced the earthquake. We don’t want to focus our experience at the hotel on this truly shocking natural disaster. The staff, whilst clearly shocked themselves looked after us really well . They went above and beyond making sure we were safe and well looked after. Thankfully there wasn’t much damage to the structure of the hotel. We sincerely hope the hotel and the surrounding area recovers from this awful tragedy and that tourists come back to the area. We would highly recommend this hotel if you want peace and tranquility.

We stayed here in 2013 and 2017, enjoyed it so came back. The hotel is unchanged, maybe could do with some TLC in places. It is still wonderfully quiet and relaxing. We stayed in the junior suite which we like for its terrace and privacy. The food is very good, local home cooking with style. varied and tasty. We were delighted in particular to be able to taste all different Moroccan breads. The service is friendly, efficient though at times lacking focus. The pool and its area are kept immaculate by a very diligent pool attendant.

I was a little nervous booking our stay here after the previous review and after limited response from the hotel when emailing them. But I am so glad we went for it. We are a family of 4 with 2 teen daughters and Domain Malika was all of our favorite place we stayed on our trip. There is not a lot to do around the hotel. We booked 2 nights at the end of our stay and enjoyed a lazy day after several days of non stop go. Unfortunately they did not have a room to accommodate all 4 of us. We booked 2 of the standard rooms (there is nothing standard about them!) And they put us in rooms next to each other. I felt comfortable with them in their own room and we would walk back and forth between the rooms on the patio. There are steps from the patio down to the pool. There is quite a bit of landscaping around the pool and there were leaves in the pool. It would have been nice if they cleaned it, but it didn't really bother us. It was quite warm out, but the pool was pretty cold. Regardless we enjoyed a beautiful day lounging at the pool. As an architect I appreciate good design. The design and furniture collection made this place feel magical. Besides the beautiful hotel and setting we were provided with wonderful service. There were 2 brothers managing the hotel. They were very attentive to us, arranged a transfer to the airport for us and even prepared a very early breakfast to our room when leaving for an early flight. The dinners. I cannot say enough about them. We had 2 dinners here and had some of the best meals we've had, not just on this trip, but anywhere. The food was truly amazing. My daughters even ate things they would never normally eat. The breakfasts and lunch were also wonderful. They paid attention to details. Such as when my daughter ordered hit chocolate with dinner the first night, they had hot chocolate ready for them with breakfast the next morning. Everything about this hotel felt like we stumbled upon a magical little piece of heaven!

We were really underwhelmed by this hotel. When we arrived the reception staff member was friendly and got us checked in, but as we walked t our room we immediately noticed how neglected the hotel felt. It was all really quite dirty, leaves everywhere. Our sheltered patio was filthy when we arrived and not looked at by a gardener or cleaning staff once. It feels slack for a hotel with only 8 rooms. The bath was stained and wouldn't drain so we had to stand in mucky water to shower. The sofa in our room gave of massive amounts of dust when slapped and the room was cold (as expected in December) but the fireplace was in another room and the radiator in the main part of the bedroom didn't work. Our room was very very dark. It had that feeling where you don't really want to take your clothes off at all to get changed. We would have to walk past the pool area to get to our room, this was completely unlit and you would be dodging the sun-loungers. Be prepared to bring a torch. The decor worked in some ways but often just looked old and dirty - it would work much better if it were at least kept clean. The pool area felt equally neglected. There was big cushion/beanbag just sat in the corner of the pool for well over a day until I got so sick of it I wrenched it out. The food was nice but don't expect to see anyone in low season. We ate most meals there and the strange jazz playing out on the speakers at all times of the day every day became exhausting. If you need anything you will often have to go knock on the private door as so few people are around. It's a shame as we really wanted to enjoy this hotel - booking it over Christmas. But in the end we had to leave early. Objectively it is a 3 star hotel that needs some love.

Honestly, this hotel was just perfect. Felt like i'd stepped directly into a Poirot book with the art deco styling. The pool is stunning, surrounded by the natural beauty of the atlas mountains with chirping birds (including a cuckoo) and the call to prayer marking the passage of time. I feel so relaxed. The staff were very accommodating, there's plenty to do with a boules pitch, pool table etc. and the food scrummy especially the epic breakfasts. Can't reccomend more. Will be back.
