Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Wonderful, peaceful, quiet, delicious food. And Hassan and Mohamed making you want to stay there for way longer than planned. The area is stunning, and the drive from Agadir alone is worth the trip. Great stay, can't wait to go back (insha'Allah!)

This is a fabulous place to stay either overnight or longer. We were a party of 6 and stayed 3 nights. The Ecolodge is a very peaceful place. The garden are well kept, super pool with plenty of loungers. We had breakfast and dinners outside in the sunshine which was a joy. The food was excellent and plenty of it, all prepared in a spotless kitchen. We were there for walking, either from the lodge or further over in the Toubkal mountains. Mohamed the lodge manager was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, from arranging guides and taxis, even providing a mule and handler, in case my ankle gave out on our walk. He has a great sense of humour and went the extra mile to make our stay as perfect as it could be. We had a warm welcome from him and he arranged really lovely guides. The Eco lodge is very lucky to have him. Top man😄

We had a wonderful stay at the Ecolodge. It's a rustic, idyllic setting in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden is alive with the sounds of birds, toads, and critters, which was a welcome reprieve from the din of Marrakech. The food was tasty and filling, and the service was excellent. Breakfast, which is included in the price, consisted of a medley of items served in the garden (the honey with crepes was delicious), with mint tea and coffee available for all. Our 5-hour walking tour of the Berber villages was exactly what we were looking for to see some of the countryside and learn about the people who live here.

This is a magical place in the mountains with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. It is simple and basic but clean and welcoming with everything you need. There a lots of seating areas and the garden is a joy. The staff are very friendly and willing and the food is good. There is lovely walking all around, with a wide variety of terrain. I recommend taking a guide to get the most out of it. We appreciated the kettle and coffee in the room, but take tea if you want it. (though fresh mint tea is available all the time at no charge) We really recommend Ouirgane for a rustic, rural and relaxing stay and would definitely go back.

This is a clean and quiet lodge in a beautiful mountain setting, with good food and friendly staff. Mohammed organized a transfer from Marrakesh and a guided day trek. It is definitely a refreshing break after the busy city of Marrakesh and we highly recommend it.

Stayed here for 3 nights while travelling around Morocco . The gardens and setting are so beautiful and peaceful making this a perfect place to chill . Rooms are clean and comfortable and all of the meals were home cooked and tasty . We visited in January when it is quite cold in the mornings and evenings so we particularly appreciated the burning log fire in the dining area . Would definitely recommend if staying in this area and we plan to visit again .

Our first three days in morocco were spent traveling to Orgain and Marrakesh. Mohamed, the owner of Ouirgane Echo Lodge and two other hotels also has a trekking company. He is honest, accessible and knows the business inside out. The manager of the hotel, another Mohamed is charming.Prior to traveling we had arranged a ound-trip airport transfer. Being met by a driver who had my name on a card was comforting as was meant this was the mint tea we were served upon arrival at the hotel. The eagle lodge has beautiful grounds and pretty little bungalows surrounding it also has a lovely rooftop to view the sunrise and sunset and that’s delicious restaurant. We had to hire a t$20 taxi to explore that evening, it seemed expensive but we hired three mules the next day (Also $20 each)and had a fabulous trips up into the mountains through small villages with another Mohamed! This Mohamed is 80 is 70 is 84 years old and not only climbs up and down the mountain and he also sings. The next day on our way to Marrakesh we start in Emile and enjoy the view of the mountains. It would have been nice to have taken a long new track there also and to spend another night perhaps in Mohamed‘s guest house. I’m Just sorry that we didn’t have enough time to take an excursion to the Sahara with Mohamed’s workers. Know that this is a three star operation family friendly but not extravagant They except euros and dollars as payment.

This place is charming and comfortable with beautiful gardens, a refreshing pool and friendly staff. The beds and seating areas are comfortable and there is plenty of space on the roof terraces and lawn for running around. The staff are very friendly but lack the speed of service we might be used to. You just need to be proactive to ask for what you want and be patient. Food is plentiful and tasty. Walks in the surrounding hills are interesting and with great views.

First of all I would like to express my gratitude to the whole staff of this awesome hotel especially Mohamed who really made our stay exceptional in every aspect , I have been working in fine vip customer service for the last 20 years and I have to admit that Mohamed is one of the best examples of creating the best experience possible for his customers. from the moment we arrived the staff were extremely accommodating allowing us to check in early, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was so good and in generous portions, food from the menu was so delicious and fresh so we didn't have to eat outside, location of the hotel is spectacular surrounded by beautiful mountains and berber villages, I recommend walking around exploring the local village and meeting friendly locals... Overall the experience was great and we are looking forward to staying at Ouirgane Ecolodge in the near future. Borhan

I've stayed in multiple places in Ouirgane over the past three years but the ecolodge really stands out in terms of value for money. It is such a nice and peaceful place. The gardens are lovely, the rooms are comfortable and the pool is really nice. Mohamed is such a nice host and always around when you need anything. The food and breakfast is delicious, especially couscous and kefta tajine. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to escape Marrakech for a few days. FYI, I stayed two nights at the ecolodge with three friends and a baby at the end of July. It was a perfect getaway from Marrakech!
