This campsite is an absolute gem. It is run by a friendly team who had things very well organised in regard to being covid-safe and this also meant w had a sea view which we probably wouldn’t have otherwise had, as every other pitch was left empty. The site is on a slight slope which is more pronounced higher up but terraces on some of the higher pitches level them off. There are showers, toilets and washing up facilities at both ends of the site, plus a launderette and recycling at the bottom. By Reception, which also sells a small range of fresh food, beach goods and camping gas, there is a kiosk which does breakfast snacks in the morning and pizza in the evening and next door a fish and chip shop; we enjoyed these, they were excellent! The site is perfectly placed 10mins walk from the beach and 5 mins from the village and is surrounded by fields. It is family friendly (but no dogs, sadly) and is quiet both in terms of on site and traffic noise. Having seen other sites in Croyde this would be our first choice every time.

Family friendly campsite with very helpful staff onsite. We stayed a week in our motorhome and it was brilliant. The campsite is about 10mins walk from the beach and the local shops. We didn't use the facilities onsite due to the Covid situation but the campsite was excellent with fully serviced pitch and a well maintained chemical disposal area. Absolutely enjoyed the stay and will definitely go there again. The fish and chips shop is good for a evening bite if you don't fancy the walk to the local restaurants...can also buy breakfast every morning. Overall, very good campsite and would certainly recommend to anyone who wants to go camping/caravaning to Croyde.

We stayed here 29th May for one week in a motor home. No issues with any of the electric/water hook ups. Site is on a tilt (obviously due to location) so ensure you have ramps to level yourself up. The site provides wood/rocks to help with this.
Reception Staff are so friendly. Always driving around the camp to keep an eye out for anyone who needs help or advice.
Shower facilities were fab - newer ones at the top were beaut and the ones at the bottom were a lot more spacious for showering kids etc. Only thing that could be improved would be family showers so husband could help with showered the baby!
Park on site is really good.
Fresh pastries from 8.30am - warm an so delicious! And just £1/£1.10!!!! Bargain!
Location was perfect for a ten min walk to the beach, isn’t the town or to the park.

Response from Debbie Rowland, General Manager at Bay View Farm Caravan & Camping Park
Responded 8 Sept 2021
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and happy you found the staff to be so welcoming and helpful. As we are in a valley there is a slight slope on some of our pitches, but as you recommend bringing some leveling chocks or using some of the wood we have site will help rectify this. We hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Bay View Farm

We have visited this site on more than one occasion purely based on its location to the beach and not the sites amenities… the pitches are not well maintained the grass long and generally untidy…also incredibly uneven…. the new toilet block is desperately in need of a deep clean and a declutter of spider webs…. The showers are in need of more hooks as there is nowhere to hang your clothes other than on the floor which gets saturated and as above generally dirty… the water temperature is also unstable… my young daughter almost got scorched as the temp suddenly shot when showering then went freezing cold …this week….
The electric hook up supply is well under par compared to other sites in the area only allowing 10 amps whereby most offer 16… the electricity boxes are locked meaning you have to summons the site owners to switch you back on…who refuse
to provide the code when you trip the electric which is often due to the low supply… all in all I consider site as average…and expensive…. I have no problem with paying for quality… but I do not feel you get any Luxury at Bay View… it is convenient for the beach and the town…only…. Sorry Bay View… you could be so much more if you focused on offering value for money free WiFi …. cleanliness and maintenance over nit picking about how cars are parked… you certainly charge enough!!!

Loved everything about Bay View Farm, from beginning to end.
The location is spot on, being just a few minutes walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants of Croyde, and a relatively short walk to the beach.

The on-site toilet and shower blocks are a good size, with great hot showers and are very clean (They close them for two hours every afternoon for a deep clean)

Our superior pitch was in a great spot on the park, and was a good size.

The fish and chips are off the scale good; some of the best i've ever eaten (i was genuinely gutted that they only open on Friday and Saturdays though!)

Staff are constantly doing the rounds on little buggies and everyone seemed friendly.

A great camping site for family and adults (they don't allow large groups). Outstanding location only a 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful and less crowded beach (also great for surfing and body boarding). Pitch is a decent size and electric hook up and water close to hand. Shower and toilet blocks are high quality and cleaned at regular intervals. We changed our trip last minute from woolacombe gold coast as this was a hardstanding pitch in what looks like a car park. This pitch instead is in a grass field which allowed our kids to run around and play games and have fun in safety (however this would be difficult if the the pitches were all full). The view is outstanding and makes for very relaxing meals outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They work hard to provide a good quality venue.

We are just back from the most amazing visit to Bay View Farm with our touring caravan. (Just a week after Boris allowed all caravan sites to re-open).
We can't praise this family-run site enough. Their attention to detail regarding extra sanitization following the Covid guidance was exceptional and we felt completely safe.
The site is simply wonderful too. We had plenty of space on our pitch with a wonderful view of the bay. The village and beach are both within easy walking distance.
10/10 is very much deserved here.

We have stayed here a number of times as the location is ideal for beach and town and the facilities are excellent. They had organised the site really well to make sure every tent was spaced apart. It was also ideal to be able to get food on site. It's family run and they are all really helpful with special thanks to neil who went above and beyond to get our car started again after we found we had a flat battery.

The pods are a) located immediately adjacent to the toilet and shower blocks. Our pod backed on to the campsite's neighbouring properties, which as far as I could tell were mostly holiday homes where loud parties took place until 5am each morning. It was just about bearable for the children, but not the adult.

I suppose the final nail in the coffin was being refused access to the shower block a few hours after we'd checked out, spent the afternoon on the beach and before a long drive home. We paid nearly £400 for 4 nights and a hotel would at the very least have allowed the use of showers in the circumstances.

Disappointing and perhaps made even more frustrating by the management stating 'once you've gone, you've gone' and 'there are queues for the showers at the moment' when this very evidently wasn't the case.

I'm sure there are better options elsewhere.

Was going to rate lower as some investment required in the toilets and showers but everything else is so good I have to ignore that fact. Toilets immaculate but very dated and look like a world war 2 camp. However, showers are hot and powerful and they do the best they can to keep the toilets clean despite some of the filthy people that stay in sites. Pitches are smaller than many sites but clean and reasonably well.maintained. on site catering was good, not overpriced ( Croyde seems to have businesses determined to overcharge) , good quality and efficient service. Definitely recommend due to location and standard!

Be warned the electrics on our pitch were tripped when we arrived and were apparently 10amps. If trip, you need to get someone out as the resets are shut away. Maybe an issue on a cold wet night.
