Fun trip Best Accom and food! Yum! Beautiful rooms, clean, BBQs available! The pool was freezing but I'm from Darwin. People very friendly and fantastic historical sights to visit! Recommend as a retreat too.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to Kakadu. Lovely restaurant with mirrors and chandeliers! The pies here are extremely popular and made fresh every morning. They sell out very quickly and I was lucky to get the last one. The pool looked inviting and I would love to stay here in one of the cabins on another visit to...

I called on the 07th of September at 13 15. The lady who picked up the phone and tried to accommodate my enquiry had very poor customer service. Maybe today wasn't the best day for her, but I reckon she could have been more accommodating than that, considering she's the receptionist.

We stayed in one of the on site cabins that had a queen sized bed. The furnishings were in good condition and the bathroom facilities were also good. The swimming pool was very good. The water quality appeared to be good and there was a shade sail over the area so you aren't likely to get sunburnt. The meals on offer...

Stayed here for a night with my cousins. The Railway Resort was well maintained. Rooms were extremely clean and the entire façade of the place made the stay very comfortable. We had requested for a cake to celebrate a birthday and that was duly done and prepared upon our arrival. The only thing that we felt could be improved was...

I travelled with a group of people and we booked 3 separate cabins. The rooms were very small but really well presented. Our night was comfortable and had we arrived earlier I'm sure we would've made us of the very inviting swimming pool. The complementary breakfast was basic, however all you wanted was at hand and no more could be...

My wife wanted a quiet weekend away from home in Darwin. She said "not too far away and affordable". Well we were not disappointed, less than two hours drive and we were there after booking on-line. The Pine Creek Railway Resort is the perfect place for couple and families. It has everything from a central location to Pine Creek and...

We stayed here for one night before going to Kakadu and after doing Nitmiluk. It was a lovely stay. The cabin we were in had a little kitchen, a sitting room area and a spacious bathroom and bedroom. The sitting room area was wonderful, after a few weeks of travelling it was great to sit in the couch! Had pizza...

My fiance and I decided to escape from Darwin for a weekend, the month before our wedding, to rejuvenate and embrace parts of Kakadu. We were really surprised with the value for money of the resort, and pleased that Sandie had upgraded us to a nicer room with a bit more privacy. The rooms are spacious and lovely, the pool...

We called in for coffee. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable and the service friendly and quick. The coffee was nice and hot. They had bathroom facilities which were clean. Coffee and cake specials were also available and good value at $9.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
I would like to introduce the brand new, Pine Creek Railway Resort. We have 18 stylishly furnished cabins ranging from single, queen, self-contained and family cabins. We have been in operation since 2009, have successfully completed the requirements of the Australian Tourism Accreditation Standard and are an accredited tourism business. We are the Crossroads to Kakadu, Litchfield and Douglas Daly regions. Only 1 hours’ drive to Cooinda – Yellow water cruises and 1 hours’ drive to Katherine. Rated 4.5 stars, all of our cabins are air-conditioned and include Foxtel, comfortable beds with clean linen and are finished with unique décor. With our lagoon style, shaded swimming pool, guests are welcome to cool themselves down from the outback heat. We have also recently completed constructing our Restaurant which is built in the shape of two trains parked at a Railway Station, which is furnished and styled after Pine Creeks’ Chinese heritage. Complete with a showcase of images from local archives and attractions, the Pine Creek Railway Resort has already become a talking point up and down the Stuart Highway, and is a long overdue attraction to the town. Our restaurant offers ready to go food which will be an advantage with your clients when calling into Pine Creek. We also have complimentary refreshments and all day breakfasts on offer for the driver. Our air-conditioned, a la carte restaurant features poolside and alfresco dining, over 40 items on our menu and is a chic, yet comfortable way to dine. ... more   less
