This was our second stay at the retreat with our family & I would highly recommend it. Ensuite for every bedroom, cosy fire, fantastic views, very quiet & tranquil, ample food supplies for breakfast, surrounded by great wineries who all promote each other. Thank you Lucille - we will be back! Sharon & Jim Tanner

This is a fabulous architectural designed house that is perfect for a group to stay and enjoy all that the Coonawarra has to offer. We were a group of 6 and the house offers plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their time there. Each bedroom has its own ensuite as well as its own private outlook to the immaculate... More

We were a group of 4 couples and so we requested that the one bedroom with 2 single beds be turned into a double which was no trouble. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the kitchen is large enough for at least 6 people to be cooking together, so its perfect for a group. One Bedroom is a Master... More

This is a first class property. We stayed there with another couple and had Punters Retreat to ourselves. The bedrooms are very nicely and tastefully furnished, large and quite separate from each other. All the linen and towels supplied are first rate. The main common room and the kitchen are simply fabulous, very stylishly furnished and super comfortable. There is... More

I found this on Trip Advisor. All the great reviews sold it immediately and we were not disappointed. It had a "wow" factor for each one of our 8 punters. The building is stunning, the ambience, in the middle of vineyards almost poetic. The fridge was well stocked for our two night stay and Penola was close by for BBQ... More

We were travelling through Coonawarra and saw the ratings so decided to stay there. There was no Punter's Corner at the address listed which is corner of Riddoch Highway and Racecourse Road. we drove back 25 kilometers to try and find it. Eventually we found a winery with the same name as the winemaker at Punter's Corner and asked for... More

I'm lucky enough to have stayed here 3 times. It is a beautiful property, well managed and plenty of room for several couples to happily enjoy this beautiful part of Australia. Your own private room with ensuite together with great dining tables to share (one upstairs and one down), BBQ, Nespresso machine, plenty of breakfast provisions just wonderful. Peaceful and... We stayed at Punters Corner The Retreat for two nights in June 2015. This was a great experience and I really recommend you consider staying here if planning a wine tasting holiday in the Coonawarra. The set up is based around a modern building set in the vines. The building can comfortably take four couples in separate ensuite bedrooms. There... More

We did a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, Punters Corner is marvelous and ticked all our boxes for our amazing two night stay in the Coonawarra wine area. It was the highlight of our trip, we used the bikes to visit some of the wineries, cooked amazing meals and drank the best wines (in the world). I'd love to... More

Only stopped one night as we were passing through, but was a top place to stay. Fantastic accommodation, top quality, great attention to detail. Away from the town, but close enough when needed. Great selection of food provided for breakfast. Real shame we couldn't have stayed longer.
