First time camping in a pop up camper. We usually tent camp. And though we checked the camper out before we left home, we had LOTS of issues with the camper. Our issues included breaking a cable that raises the roof, a small leak that turned into a BIG leak (and no it did not leak at home before we...

I have not yet been to Bear Den for my family vacation, and I will update this review once I have visited. I felt the need, however, to go ahead and leave them an absolutely STELLAR review for their great customer service. We booked a family cabin with them months ago but due to a ridiculous amount of unforeseen crises...

We traveled to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway for a 2 night stay at Bear Den. The campground is lovely and well maintained. I booked the Honeymoon Cabin #1 because the other larger family cabins were reserved. I traveled with my husband, daughter and grandson and while the cabin is beautiful it was not big enough for 4. It is...

Campground is great. Great location. The road into the campground needs to be repaired. The campground staff are wonderful. The lake is fun, fishing and a place to swim. Hiking trails are very nice on premise.

Beautiful campground just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you want a family friendly campground with GREAT hiking trails and a very nice staff come here. Hiking trails were well marked and excellent hiking. The mountains are surrounding this place and it really is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. Only slight draw back is the lake,...

I was very impressed with my first visit to Bear Den. We stayed in one of the camping cabins. Very clean. Staff very courteous. Definitely planning a second visit. Very reasonably priced. Walmart less than 10 miles from the campground. Right off the parkway.

The location was great and the workers there were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The only problem we had was that we rented one of their camping cabins and unfortunately forgot to ask if there was any hearing; their wasn't. We had stayed in similar cabins at a beach campground and they had a/c...

Camp there several times a year and it is one of my family's favorites. Location is right on the Blue Ridge Parkway so the location is awesome. Campground is rustic, but that's the charm. Campsites are separated by laurel and other foliage so you have some natural privacy. Staff is always friendly and helpful. A happy get-away always.

Our friends recommended this place, so we made a weekend reservation with them. They own a large travel trailer and we own a large pop up. We were put in a tent site, but couldn't fit in the three spots offered (trust me, we tried!). We finally had to request a TT site and the front office accommodated us. First...
