This property is very pretty. The guy that runs this place is super friendly. But..... this is not a campground Its a mountain with some fire rings. There's only maybe 6 or 7 campsites in the tree line. the rest are on the hill in the field out in the open. Which doesn't give you any protection from the elements...

We had a wonderful weekend staying at this camp ground. We had the onsite Teepee and we highly recommend. It has a queen size bed with fresh linens. Bistro table and chairs, bed side tables with lamps. Charcoal grill, fire pit and picnic table come on this site too. The views are awesome, this campground is very well laid out...

We had a wonderful time at Blue Bear! It's a beautiful place to camp. We stayed in the tepee for my 8 year old son. He loved it!! It has a queen bed, small table w/2 chairs and a roll away bed, as we requested. Thank god for the electric blanket!!! It was very windy and cold Friday night so...

Gorgeous, hidden spot. We booked the teepee for two nights over Easter weekend. Glamping at its finest. The teepee was great and very sizable and accommodating. We had two little boys with us and were provided rollaways but this would be quite a romantic getaway for a couple. We hiked down to the lake where the secluded camp sites are...

This is the most beautiful tucked away campsite in the Boone area. Every campsite offers it's own little piece of love. Great hiking trails to see some stunning views. The staff is top of the line. They will go out of their way to make sure everything is taken care of and clean as a whistle. I will definitely be...

I had to cancel my trip due to impassable roads from Hurricane Matthew. I needed to wait until the last min. to see how bad the roads were. I was aware of the cancellation policy but was hoping due to the circumstances that the owners of the campground would be flexible. The owner provided very limited options, that were either...

Very dog-friendly, convenient (super-clean restrooms, showers, laundry), with supportive and helpful staff. Lovely and quiet but still close enough to "civilization" that you can easily take in local sights and enjoy local fare. I have an RV, and the hookup was easy and painless and the spot nearly perfectly level. I highly recommend this place!

Campsites are few with some remote. Sites have electric but no water at site. Small clean bath house. Friendly folks. Quiet and star lit, no street lights...we were there for the Blue Bear Music festival. We had field camping. Will go again...

Beautiful campground. Nice campsites that are spacious and have lots of room between them. Bathrooms are clean. Great staff that made rounds to see if you needed anything. Wish we would've had more time to hike their trails. Definitely will return.

We've been to many campgrounds and have a few favorites, but this one beat them all! The staff was very nice, friendly and very helpful . The campground was on top of a mountain with gorgeous views and spacious lots. Cool teepee and quaint cabin for rent also. Great place to disconnect from the electronic world and relax. Husband &...
