We spent one night here while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is located on a hillside overlooking the Valle Crucis. We had some trouble with directions - the sigh for one of the turn offs was hard to find and there was a lot going on at the intersection. We called to clarify and finally made it ok. The... More

My husband and I arrived at this lodge after a full day's gorgeous drive across the Blue Ridge Mountains. We had no idea what to expect but were delighted to encounter a beautiful, quirky b&b and a friendly owner, Anne with her dog, Bella. The living quarter and room was delightful and nothing was too much trouble for Anne who... More

Sadly we were only staying here for 1 night. We could have remained cocooned in beautiful and comfortable surroundings for at least 2 more! There were hot drinks and cake to welcome us on our arrival ( on a very wet and bleak day), and freshly baked cookies on our return from dinner. Our room was warm and comfortable, so... More

It's beautifully furnished and so peaceful with fabulous viiews of the mountains. Every detail has been put in place to make for a really comfortable and relaxing stay. Unfortunately the owners were away... More

We've stayed at B&Bs all over the US and this was one of the best! Very welcoming host, beautiful setting, great breakfast and wonderfully decorated house and property. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. We stayed in the Mountain view room and loved it with a big shower and a jacuzzi tub. Bella, a Newfoundland greets you,... More

We had 4 great nights at Lazy Bear Lodge, and hated to leave! Trees, flowers, birds, deer, squirrels, a small "waterfall" with the soothing sound of water trickling, and gorgeous mountain views from comfortable porches with rocking chairs....heaven! The lodge is beautiful and homey inside, and we felt that we were staying with family...it was that comfortable. Breakfasts were just... More

Beautiful Lodge tucked into the woods with magnificent views of the mountains and valley below. The building itself was obviously built with a lot of love for the surroundings and is a treat to walk around and through. Anne was a wonderful hostess and the breakfast was delish. The rooms and common areas were cozy, the porches a perfect place... More
