If you are looking for a nice resort, this is not the place for you! Like other reviews, this place was not busy, and yet they placed us at the very top of the mountain road in a "condo" unit, which was not really a condo. This place was old, and when we opened the door the musty smell hit... More

This was our time share trade and we luckily hit an Indian Summer week in October. We were in one of the condo units on the second floor. Spacious kitchen with full sized appliances, living room with a beautiful view, two bedrooms - (we did wonder why the master bedroom with the queen bed was in the noisy back of the... More

Fun, clean place to play Par 3 golf. Close to Boone. Rarely crowded, reasonable prices and club rental available on-site. Did not stay there so I do not know about the accomodations although they look simple and certainly offer a convenient location to Boone, Vilas and Banner Elk.

We spent a week at Willow Valley Resort plenty of nice places to eat nearby in Boone Great 9-hole Golf Course and the indoor swimming and hot tub are awesome. The Condominiums are medium size but well supplied love to having a fireplace and AR living room the office supplies anything we might have forgotten to bring with us I've... More

We stayed in a chalet and it was nice. It was clean and roomy but could use some updating on the appliances and better air conditioning. The carpets, furniture and tv's were new. Kinda disappointed that there was not much to do there. There is an indoor pool and a golf course, but that's about it. We went to the... More

We were in Chalet 17. The building had a great view of the 9th hole of the golf course. We spent time when we were "home" sitting on the porch watching the golfers hit their balls into the pond next to the green. Good times! Took the kids on a couple hikes through the golf path (after hours). Honestly i... More

The stretch of parkway from Boone to Asheville is full of places of interest; and so we were delighted to find affordable accommodation at this spot. Ignore the 'resort' label; it does not have to be expensive unless you choose the beautiful log cabins; we stayed in the cheap 'efficiency' units; perfect for a weekend break. Clean and comfortable, with... More

Friendly, gracious and welcoming staff however, the property should not be called a resort. It's more akin to a condo rental with a small golf course and pool. We stayed in one of the condo type units and it wasn't too bad we did have a good time playing hid and seek late at night in the gold course and... More

We were placed at the top of the resort in a four unit demountable type building. Strange as the resort was empty and there were plenty of cabins available. Our unit was old, and in need of repair. Breakfast bench was on a slant, washing machine wouldn't spin, no kettle, toilets kept blocking, musty mouldy smell - I could go... More
