Jay is a wonderful host. He made us feel at home and all his suggestions were spot on. Breakfasts were delicious and conversation was great. The home is lovely and clean and comfortable, located in a neighborhood of historic houses.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at Blue Heaven. Jay, the Innkeeper, is so knowledgeable about the area, offering many good choices for restaurants, routes of travel, and general history of the area. And he cooks an awesome breakfast. Would definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

We enjoyed meeting Jay and his wife Donna. They were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants within walking distance and driving directions for other activities. The room and furnishings were lovely and the breakfasts were superb - Jay is an excellent cook and presenter.

What a wonderful honeymoon getaway! The owner Jay was very knowledgeable and helpful on recommending places to eat, things to do as well as the best way to get there. The house was absolutely beautiful and immaculately kept as well as having very spacious rooms and delicious breakfasts! The B&B was in a nice quiet neighborhood very close to all... More

Staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful, relaying info on the area, places to go, where to eat, what to do. Interesting guy, too, has done a little bit of everything. Super breakfast, and great atmosphere.

The owner, Jay, was friendly and accomdating. He went above and beyond in assisting us with finding restaurants and activities to keep us busy. Our trip was just a few quick days but we were able to have a comfortable, clean room for our stay. Breakfast was nice - every day something different -and the house was tastefully and elegantly... We had a great stay at Blue Heaven B&B. Our Host Jay was easy to talk to and a big help when it came to where to go and what to eat in the area. It was our first time in Wilmington so the help was much appreciated! Our room was bright and comfortable. We had access to a nice... More

Recent stay with host, Jay made for a really great, short weekend stay. The host, Jay is very kind, helpful, and eager to help make a stay special. Very engaging with guests. Our room was spacious and clean. The wash linens could use an upgrade as the wash clothes and towels are really rough. I guess that even when you... More

Terrific experience starting with inquiry phone call with Jay the owner. My two golfing buddies were a bit leery about staying in a B&B before we started our group golf trip, but it turned out to be far superior to where we ultimately stayed with the rest of the group. Great ambiance and walking distance to riverfront restaurants. Jay makes... More

We just got back from a golf trip to Wilmington and stayed here one night before we met the rest of the group at a newer hotel chain in a planned package. I wish we could have stayed at Blue Heaven the whole time. Old, and very well kept large house in the historic district. The rooms were comfortable and... More

“I stayed in the Key West room because it had a bathroom included. The decor is Key West green, which is because of it's namesake from a restaurant in key west. I liked the decorations of the Newport room better, because the theme was more stereotypically southern, but I went with the Key West so I could have a bathroom connected (the Newport room has a bathroom across the hall).”
