First time here meeting old friends. Had the sea bream and the gammon off the specials board followed by sticky toffee pudding and home made ice creams. Very good standard pub food at acceptable pricing, around £30 a head for 2 courses, a glass of wine or two, and coffee. There was also a competive set lunch offering with 2...

Went to the Knife & Cleaver to celebrate my wife birthday with family on a Thursday lunch time. When I called to make the booking I did ask what the type of food was served and led to believe it was more fine dining rather than pub food. In my opinion the food is more in line with pub food...

Dinner tonight. Booked online. Really lovely meal. Great staff. 10/10. Definitely going back. Highly recommend. Menu has a really good choice. Presented well. Overnight accommodation available. Only thing I didn't like is the closeness of other tables when it's just two of you.

We have visited the Knife & Cleaver several times in the past when ran by Graham & Terry and always had a great experience. This is our first visit since change of ownership and we were greatly disappointed. Menu very minimal with not many choices with food and drinks a lot more expensive. Décor now refurbished by new owners has...

Clean, comfortable room with all the facilities that you would expect. Good food in the restaurant. A nice country pub in a quiet village. The rooms are in a separate block in the garden, a few yards from the pub/restaurant.

We recently visited this hotel for a meal with friends. We had heard about it's reputation locally. I am pleased to say we were not disappointed - food and service were nothing short of excellent. We will certainly be going back soon.

I live locally and decided to treat my wife to a quiet night away for the weekend with an apparent 2 rosette meal. I came here summer of last year and had a tasting menu and was lucky enough to chat to a charming young chef after my meal! Im not sure what has happened since however, the current menu...

An extremely friendly establishment with nothing too much trouble for the staff. Our room was very comfortable and very clean with a large bath with shower. Dinner in the restaurant was of a high standard and absolutely delicious as was breakfast the following morning. The weekend was in fact the proprietors Graham and Terry's last weekend but this did not...

Great food as usual. We were however gutted to find out that this is the end of an era. Graham and Terry have sold up. Fully understand the reasons why but now it is part of a chain. Difficult to belive they will stick to Graham and Terrys's principles. Sucha shame this place was just the best
