Clean, quiet, spacious rooms with comfortable bed and a very warm welcome. Convenient for visiting Castle Drogo and Exeter. Easy access from the main A30 road but far enough from it not to hear the road noise.

This guest house was a jewel of a find. My mum and I stayed for two nights while attending a family wedding. A lovely sized room, comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities and wonderful views from our room on the top floor. Only downside was the 2 flights of stairs, not ideal for an 83 year old with bad...

This was our second visit of the year, lovely welcome, from the new owners. Room all we needed for our two night stay with our dog! Cafe serves yummy breakfasts which we enjoyed on our first morning. Even the dog was given a treat. The second morning we opted for fruit and yoghurt in our room as we were going...

Went to visit family and stayed here for a week. It is family run and the rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and clean. It's tucked away but has easy access to the A30. The breakfast was amazing using local farm produce. Prices are reasonable too. I would highly recommend a stay here. Will go back again.

Stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding locally. For £45 per night (room only) it was excellent value. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Slept very well both nights. Good breakfast available in the cafe downstairs - under £10 for both of us. Would stay here again.

Paid £90 for a 'grand' room including breakfast for 2, free wifi and free parking so decent value for money. The room was spacious with lovely big arch windows and nice views, flat screen TV and well furnished. The room looked fresh and recently painted magnolia but lacked a design touch which the building deserves. I would say functional rather...

We spent 2 nights whilst attending Paignton dog show. We had originally only booked 1 night but the owner very kindly allowed us to change rooms at late notice so that we could stay an additional night. The upgraded four poster room was lovely and bright with plenty of space and great views. The bathroom was a little dated and...

Stopped in here on a trip down to Cornwall. Lovely food, lovely people, they welcome dogs and have a dog walking area. The food was very nice, and reasonably priced. They have a covered outdoor area for those who like to sit out, and not get rained on.

The room was lovely and peaceful. Well situated for the main road. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable - the owner Michelle was very helpful with local places to see and to eat at. Breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Booked this for £45.00 on an Expedia deal. What a lovely place to stay. Very quiet, lovely room, all amenities and a cafe attached to the building where we had breakfast which was great value. (You can eat in the Coach House dining room if you book b & b but we just booked the room). Lovely people, great pub...
