The hotel & pool/outdoor areas are immaculately clean, you always see the housekeepers and cleaners going round to maintain it which is great. The room we had was also good to be honest , good size , always had fresh towels to use as-well as beach towels at your disposal. I agree with other reviews I’ve read about only getting one tiny thin bar of soap for a whole weeks holiday even for two of us it was a stretch. I do recommend taking your own hairdryer as they’re not that powerful

We always managed to get a sun bed every day at anytime with no issue , and the pools were great, lovely and refreshing.

The food I enjoyed most nights along with the snack bar, admittedly it does get very repetitive and it’s at best luke warm at the best of times which is abit of a let down but it was still tasty and more than enough choice. I was happy with the soft drinks and coffee not a fan of the cocktails but each to their own , the becks in the paper cups from the pool bar was 70% froth but beer was still cold and refreshing.

The staff in the hotel were very miserable , I saw maybe 3 members of staff who actually smiled the rest looked like they hated life, no manners and no communication from majority , they just eye roll and point which let them down given it was our honeymoon and we were always polite and they really didn’t seem interested in assisting or talking to anybody.

I’m not sure wether it’s the time of the season but the entertainment was only on for an hour at the longest, so by around 10:30pm you were left with little options , either walk up the strip , or sit by the bar until your ready to go to your room.

Sunny beach itself is lovely and the beach is gorgeous so is the location of the hotel, there is mini golf on site which we didn’t play but it looked good. Alot of shops to look around and bars on the strip.

Overall we enjoyed it and had a good time , just customer service needs improving and maybe the food temp need a look over but we did have a good time , with improvements I’d be very happy to go back

We stayed at the DIT Majestic for the 3rd time May / June 2023. The hotel has gone all inclusive since our last visit we was sceptical on booking as we do like to eat out and not be tied to the hotel. Although the price was only £150 more each than what we paid half board 5 years ago so ultimately was a bargain. Check-in was straight forward , we was taken to our rooms by the bell boy and had fantastic rooms (813 and 815) overlooking the pools and beach. After unpacking we went to the hotel bar which is open 24/7 and the hotel had food for the arrivals. Breakfast has all you can want cereals , pastries, yogurts, hot food. Lunch has plenty of choice and dinner also. We tried the Asian restaurant which was a lovely setting. The hotel has healthy bar for cakes / coffees. A special mention to all the staff , everyone we met from initial check in to leaving was so friendly and work so hard. The cleaners also work tireless to keep the hotel spotless. The mini bar in the rooms are restocked daily and we had a free safe. This hotel is simply one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and is located in the best part of Sunny beach.

Another fab holiday staying here. The weather was not the best 2 days out of 7 were sunny - the rest cloud/rain but can't do anything about that.

We visited 7 years ago and was only half board then. This time was all inclusive and the only complaint really was that some of the vegetables were not hot enough. Otherwise there was a good selection of all foods, there was snack bar, healthy corner, pool par and the lobby bar was 24/7 and served a variety of drinks, and the room fridge was also kept stocked with beer/water/juice.

The hotel/room was clean/tidy and the grounds are kept immaculate. There is also a crazy golf course on site. There is some entertainment - kareoke, a man on a guitar outside the lobby bar. Didn't see any other entertainment going on, but outside the hotel there are lots of bars/restaurants etc, and it seemed to be getting busier during the end of our stay.

There was a shop at the hotel but it was closed, (not even sure if it was used as a shop anymore anyway).

We had a late flight (midnight) so needed the room, however, the hotel said that they would generally charge 120 levs, but as a complimentary gesture we had the room for free until 4.00 pm which was a lovely thing for them to do.

Our Tui rep was a bit useless - he was all for being chatty to the guests but ask a question about anything and he didn;t really have a clue.

We have recently returned from a family holiday at the Majestic Beach Resort and on the whole the experience was pretty good, but there were a few issues.

The Good:

The hotel is located at the quieter end of Sunny Beach and the pool is set back from the main strip which makes it feel much more exclusive.

The hotel itself and the pool area are very clean if a little dated and the facilities are fairly good (Bars, Gym, Pools, Etc).

Rooms are big (we had an apartment) and facilities are ok if a little dated although we were on the back of the hotel overlooking the car park so ask for a Sea view if you can get one.

Staff are mostly friendly (despite what other reviewers have said) and always made an effort with us, but there is definitely a cultural difference so don't always expect a smile.

Food is available throughout the day so you never go without and drinks are always on tap and we didn't find them to be watered down as other reviews have said.

The pool wasn't overcrowded and we always managed to find a sunbed, but you do have to get down around 8am if you want a prime spot.

The Bad:

During our entire weeks stay our room wasn't cleaned once, despite multiple requests and we had to ask for extra towels, toilet rolls and water on a daily basis. This wasn't just our experience either I heard others complaining about the same thing at reception. This really isn't acceptable at any hotel let alone a 4* hotel.

The hot food is very basic and probably closer to a 3* hotel, although the salad bar was Ok and deserts quite nice.

The evening entertainment was pretty poor but there are some nice beach bars further up the resort so we would recommend getting out if you can.

The beach bar isn't really a bar just a stall on the side of a private bar and there aren't many loungers available although we did manage to find some in the afternoon.

The Mini Golf isn't included and is a bit of a rip off to be honest so check the price before you promise the kids a go.

Summary:

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Majestic, but we were slightly disappointed by the food quality and the lack of room cleaning was really unacceptable for what is supposed to be a 4* Hotel.

I was very excited about our stay at the majestic, as on the website it looked like a wonderful hotel. The hotels appearance, cleanliness and location cannot be faulted, however the lack of friendly staff and amenities that was available was very disappointing. The food in the buffet was very basic and cold and the Asian and BBQ restaurants that was advertised were closed with no explanation. There was no evening entertainment in the bar other than the same man singing the same songs (badly) for 10 nights. During the end of our stay, the hotel got busier so the evening entertainment extended to karaoke and disco nights in the “nightclub” however you wouldn’t have known that as there was no notices. Due to the lack of night entertainment, the only place that was enjoyable to sit and have a drink was the pool bar. However, despite it being advertised as being open until 11pm, it shut at 6pm. The weather wasn’t brilliant during our stay which cannot be helped, but there was no indoor activities to keep people occupied so ourselves and many more of the people we met at the hotel spent more of our stay elsewhere than in the “ultra all inclusive hotel” we thought we had booked.

Difficult to rate out of 5. I’d give 3.5 out of 5.

The hotel and its location is lovely. Two large swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds to choose from each day.

It is seconds away from the beach, which is lovely and clean, where you can also use free sunbeds and umbrellas, plus access the beachside drinks counter.

The rooms are cleaned daily, and although are a little tired, are comfortable and clean with a good powerful shower.

The hotel is let down primarily by two things.

The food: which is terribly repetitive and consists of white trays of overcooked fish and meat.

The drinks: which are limited and not very nice tasting. The soft drinks are flat and from some pumps were undrinkable.

It’s all inclusive so you can never expect the greatest of quality, but this was average at best unfortunately.

It could be down to being out of season/closing season, but I suspect the food and drink offering was typical for the hotel. A shame.

I could not believe how much standards had dropped from the previous year.
Food in the main restaurant was poor and on many occasions, even as early as an hour after opening, choice was limited because the food had all been eaten ( this applied across all the food: meat, veg, salad and desserts).
We had clean towels every day but the room wasn’t cleaned or bedding changed until the 5th day of our 7 day holiday and that only because we complained.
Last year there was a waffle bar and ice lollies on demand -all gone. Glasses at the pool bar had been replaced by paper cups even if you were drinking in the bar area.
A lack of entertainment or even music in and around the public and bar areas of the hotel.
I certainly won’t be returning for a third time.
No way is this a 4* hotel.

What a shame…. the images of the hotel where stunning and the hotel lobby was stunning the room was clean and tidy. However the staff were very unwelcoming and cold and not very helpful. Food was awful, hardly any variety in the buffet style restaurant at dinner time which is a shame. Food was also very cold no matter what time you get in the restaurant. The Asian and BBQ where closed however the reception team ‘booked’ us into the sister hotel just down the road to use the Asian restaurant however when we got down there they had not been notified of our arrival or booking confirmation which resulted in us having to walk back with my disabled mother in law, very bad miscommunication! As for the evening entertainment it was lacking! One guy playing the guitar and singing the same song over and over every night for a 4* hotel this is very poor on the hotels behalf!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone avoid at all cost

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and polite, food was nice and there were plenty of options for drinks. Plenty of sun beds to choose from as well as a having a section on the beach that had a bar also. There’s plenty to do around the hotel for all ages.

We stayed for 9 nights, 10 days which meant we could only go to 1 A La Carte restaurant which we was disappointed with as you needed to be there 10 nights to attend both. Don’t think this is made very clear before hand.

Our flight home was later on so we booked a ‘shower room’, which was very limited for space and was more like a communal area in which other people were as well. Not very much room for 2 of us to get showered and ready in half an hour, so unsure how a family would!

Evening entertainment was more suitable for young children, there wasn’t as much for young adults/adults. However would be perfect to take children.

Overall we have really enjoyed our stay here.

Would definitely recommend the Aquapark at Nessebar and ‘The different Safari’. Both really good for all ages and great for the price.

I would say that if you are reasonably easily pleased you’ll enjoy yourself. Is it a 4 star ? Probably not but it’s a good 3.5 Some staff were a bit ‘glum but If I had to put up with the behaviour of some of the guests from many different countries I don’t think I’d be smiling all the time either, I saw one young member of staff being reduced to tears by a women berating the fact that she hadn’t flown all the way to Bulgaria only to go without butter, another lady decided to induce vomiting in the flowerbed at the terrace bar so as usual it’s the guests letting the place down. Rooms were cleaned every day, fresh towels for room and beach daily, Sun beds plentiful at both the pools and beach, very comfy, huge pools, mini fridge restocked free of charge including beer and bottled water, snack bar open from 1030 till 6pm
It is a bit dated but not shabby or grubby and all the staff we talked to were very friendly and helpful.
Would I go again? If the price was right there was nothing that put me off. Yes the food is a bit hit and miss at times (breakfast was always good though) but silly things like no fresh fruit juice ( powdered mixes and only from behind the counter), a toaster that takes 6 months to brown toast causes a huge queue are a little irritating but easily fixed
