Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The owner went out of his way to ensure we were well cared for after another hotel in Clinton had sold our room. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of extras; towels, blankets, pillows. The kitchenette offered dishes, tea and coffee, etc. as well as a microwave, bar fridge, tea kettle and toaster. The bathroom was well appointed, excellent condition, and very clean. We would return to Clinton and stay at the Round-Up again.

Very clean and comfortable. There’s a microwave, fridge and coffee pot in the room as well as a few dishes for basic dining. There’s a nice grassy area at the end of the motel with a picnic table and barbecue grill. The pillows were fabulous. We travel through here twice a year and will definitely stay here again.

Clean. Friendly. Fast check in. We hadn’t even finished unloading our car and the owner came by with extra towels, he said I know there’s towels for 2 and there’s 3 of you. That never happens. We always have to ask. We’ve stayed here before and if going through this area again we will stay again. The beds were very comfy. This trip we noted dishes and cutlery, a nice addition, should you want to eat in. A microwave, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, coffee makers (drip and Keurig).

The room was nicely clean and in very good condition with recent looking renos, especially the bathroom. I am picky about bathrooms but this one was great! Also appreciated that the room was appointed with added touches such as a tea kettle. The manager was a super guy, nice to deal with on the phone, provided excellent service by calling back to further explain the check in. The reason I cannot give more stars to this review is because of the cigarette smoke, tons of smoke blowing into our room from other rooms! I was very surprised to see so few smoking restrictions at this hotel in this day and age when smoking is not permitted within a certain distance (or at all) at most places we have stayed, no matter what type of accommodation. Many of the guests staying here were industry workers and most of them seemed to be smokers. And the hotel encourages smoking by having a small table with an ash tray and chairs outside of each room. So guess what! Many guests were smoking outside their rooms with doors also open. The smoke was everywhere! Our room was very smoky even though we left the door open only to bring in our bags. Too bad about the smoke because the rooms seemed well taken care of.

We stayed here over the Labour Day weekend for 2 nights. We basically used the room for sleeping and taking showers - we were out all the time. Paul, the manager, and the housekeeping staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant. For me, the most important thing was how clean the room was - I was very comfortable staying there and had no qualms about using the bedding or facilities. Was equipped with all the basics - microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and small fridge - but again, everything was there that we needed and all very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Arrived late, 11:30pm, manager had left room open with key and receipt and has been very helpful earlier in the evening in booking us in, something other hotels en route were not willing to do. Room was basic but clean and beds well made, comfortable. normally stay at the nomad but this was fine and would stay again. happy to recommend.

I recieved a phone call saying that our Reservation was being cancelled for the July 18th and 19th I was told it was because of COVID-19 and that they would be closed completely. I have since confirmed that they are open for business. The reason for the cancellation was in fact to accomodate a work crew which would be working in the area. Not very transparent. Shady business practices. I will never darken their door with my shadow.

A couple of months ago we made a large group reservation at this hotel for July 18th. A few weeks ago, the man at the Roundup called each one of us and said he would have to cancel our reservations as he would be closed for the summer because of COVID. This morning we got a message from a friend who is booked at another hotel in Clinton for July 18th. She called to confirm her reservation and mentioned that she had heard the Roundup was closed. The lady at her hotel told her the Roundup is open and that she had heard that our group was cancelled so they could rent the rooms to a work crew. So we called the Roundup and asked if they were open for customers and he said yes. We asked if we could rent a room on July 18th and he said he was fully booked. We confronted him with what we knew and he tried to get out of it saying they weren’t ready to open yet because of COVID. So we asked him how could he be fully booked if he wasn’t ready to open. The man flat out lied to us. We are part of a very large group that do a lot of travelling and I can assure you he will never get any business from us again.

Fantastic motel. Paul was courteous, helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. Nice small touches such as handy maps on the wall, real dishes and cutlery (not plastic or paper) extra pillows and candy treats. Bargain price. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality.
