Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly staff, outstanding snow conditions made our visit to Panorama one for the books. Lunch at Greywolf every day was relaxing with good food and an excellent ambiance. A centre for ski racing activity, the racing events never interfered with our enjoyment of the mountain.

Hotel's Favourite
Perfect for families wanting to get away and be n nature. Also those with lots of energy to burn! Not all accommodations are created equal. All the condos in the upper village are privately owned and rented out by pano resorts. We love the Springs bldg as the pools are attached. Also condos with the pm sun will be much hotter than those not! The older Pines is being renoed and older but most of the condos are well appointed simple accommodations allowing you to make your meals and save money… plus eat healthier. Lots of hikes up the one mile chairlift for all abilities. Pools are loved by kids, bring a couple chairs or a mat. Lots of space if no lounge chairs are free. Or just sit on edge of the pool! The small general store in lower village has everything and reasonable price IMO. Shop atNo Frills on way in… get what you need. Good prices. Special shout-out to the daycare on site. Donna is absolutely amazing! We used them in the winter. They are closed in the summer. They do have some day camps in the summer which do hikes and exploring though! My favourite part is the free underground parking….park day one and don’t drive anywhere for a week! That’s my idea of a holiday! Spend time visiting vs driving. Simple down to earth active vacations! Summer : Walks, hikes, bike rides, pools and time to make nice meals! Love it here! Winter: skiing xc and downhill, hot pools, warm meals and relaxing with those you love! Kids 5 and under ski free, everyone skis free in the very beginner area including the t or button bar. We love it here.

MASSIVE JEERS to Panorama Mountain Resort . We are locals from town who decided to go to Pano for the weekend, the hotel was pretty expensive for what it is but we thought we could have a nice stacation. We had a lovely dinner at Alto. We had a bottle of wine and two mains which came to $120. We then decided T-Bar with our group for a drink. There were no menus and in total we had 6 glasses of house wine. We got the bill and it was $175!!! We felt like we had to give a good tip because our server was great but Pano seem to want to destroy every part of the local community. If we had skied a hotel, lift ticket, dinner and some wine would have been about $700 all in. Steve P you should be ashamed of what you have done to this community!

Stayed at the approach hotel, which was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Absolutely repulsive. Filthy & prison like. Mountain is okay not great, the lifts are horrible with long lines and you have to take 2 lifts in a row every time since the trials don’t go back to the mid mountain lift I only came here as part of a mountain collective road trip. I’ll just burn the 2 free days here in the future I’d rather pay for extra days at lake Louise and/or Revy.

The rundown resort had its best days at least 20 years ago. All outside and inside are old, fading, rusted, felty, and greasy. This should be shut down immediately. All personnel are students from other countries. Can not have any advice on what to visit or other attractions. Nice moss on the roofs. AVOID, AVOID at all costs!

Our second time visiting Panorama, will likely be our last. Check-in process is good, friendly/helpful staff, but quite slow. Parking is adequate. Two restaurants on site. Alto Kitchen and T-Bar. Alto is higher-end dining with homemade pizza. Food is good but service is agonizingly slow. And you’re not getting in if you don’t have a reservation - regardless of how many empty tables there are. T-Bar is more pub fare. Drink menu is good, but very limited food options. Staff are friendly and helpful but again, service is agonizingly slow. Its also VERY loud in there. Rooms are a good size, but badly in need of upgrades. The plaster on the ceiling above the shower was peeling badly and had created a 6” hole over the tub exposing the drywall underneath. The skiing is good, but the season is short. Hot pools are good and a nice way to end the day. Overall not a terrible experience, but definitely not worth the price we paid. There are better ski resorts for the same price or cheaper.

I am a tour guide and come here a few times in winter and I am super frustrated with the most useless wifi internet connection in whole Canada… I travel through the whole country with groups and non other place is so bad. Non of my guests had a good experience.. it is so sad as the skiing is lovely! I feel the resort is only after the money..

Taynton Lodge, Panorama: This lodge is in a quiet part of the resort, and benefits from that. However, the pathways leading down to the resort needed better gritting. For me, as a Brit, all the condo-style room had the same problems that I have with pretty much all Canadian properties. The beds are too soft, and the lighting is too low. Apart from not being able to see anything, the absence of master light switches at the door and by the bed are a mystery. Instead, there is always a vast array of scattered light switches and lamps that need to be turned on/off individually, with the result that leaving the room or going to bed ends up being a long, complex mission to turn off a plethora of different switches. Oh, and there are never any USB sockets. There are two small hot tubs outside, which we enjoyed after skiing, and we liked the location and the ski-in-ski-out-ness. The room was clean but had very few bathroom amenities (two small bars of soap and a small tube of shampoo was all you got), there was no daily housekeeping and there was only one sachet of coffee for the coffee maker (for the entire stay). The coffee maker was quite the most ridiculously complicated design, so after using our coffee allowance on the first morning we just walked down to the resort for our morning coffees. My other gripe was the lack of a washing machine and dryer in the room. There was, though, a laundrette downstairs. The rest of the resort was well-organised and friendly. Check-in was a central guest services on the way up into the resort, and was quick and helpful. The ski rental shop was a joy – engaging staff and quite reasonable equipment, which had been properly serviced. We stayed at this property as part of a trip along the ‘Powder Highway’ in January 2023 (although only 50% of that name was correct at the time). The cost of this property per night was CAD $345 (Premium 1 Bedroom). See my other reviews for our stays in the Sutton Place Hotel in Revelstoke CAD $379 (Studio Premium Suite) and Palliser Lodge in Kicking Horse CAD $279 (1 bedroom suite).

The mountain is very large and because of it's location, does not get much crowds. Snow conditions were also great. Would definitely recommend this mountain over big names like Whistler, Lake Louise, or Banff Sunshine, especially on weekends or holidays.

Don't bother with breakfast at the Ski Tip Lodge cafeteria. Both my wife and I had the egg, bacon, sausage, tater tots, and toast for breakfast. The sausages were dry like chalk and the jam for the toast looks like it came from pre-pandemic times, totally unspreadable, more like fruit roll up consistency. Eggs were cooked first, then meat put on the grill, then toast made...by the time that was all done, the eggs were cold. So much for having a good breakfast to start a full day of skiing
