This motel is amazing for hockey teams needing accommodation. Nothing fancy at all but clean and functional and very reasonable. There is a restaurant and pub and they put our whole team on the bottom floor so the kids could have fun and not disturb any other guest. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Port McNeill area for hockey... More

We stayed here for three nights prior to our two day whale watching trip. It looked a bit glum from the outside but the receptionist was friendly enough and check in was swift. We were on the first floor and there were no lifts. Breakfast was just about OK, cereals and toast and rock hard scrambled eggs. The rooms were... More

After driving from Qualicum beach six fishermen were persuaded to stay here as it ha s a bar on site. It has basic rooms with friendly workers but is is pushed towards the cable, logging or transport workers who are regulars here. The evening food in the bar is basic but good but the breakfast, of which you need a... More

This is a very basic hotel and the interior décor is like a basic breeze block which has been painted, mind you everything was very clean and worked as it should. The best bit about this place is the restaurant. Excellent food with a very good rating.

This is a very basic place. The decor and the ambiance is very 80s. We stayed there because it was conveniently located to Macaky's whale watching. the breakfast is again basic with limited spread. Rooms are spacious but depressing with old furniture and can do with more lights.

The room was clean and spacious. Everything worked as it should. Good wifi. Light duvets would have been nice instead of sheets and a heavy quilt. Breakfast was very austere. Limited cold cereal but some hot items; eggs, sausage and french toast. No yogurt.

The place is reasonably clean, I'll grant that. The staff are nice. Newish refrigerator in room. Beyond that, a bust. The building is old, dilapidated with uneven floors, hideous carpeting, and painted cement block construction. In an earthquake, it would be a disaster. The building looks bleak, and the basic rooms, unremodelled in the current or past century, simply do... More

What can I say. It is a old Hotel in a small town. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. Cant ask for much more than that. We had a room on the third floor (which was really the 2nd floor) and if you opened the window and stuck your head out you could see the water.... More

We asked for a quiet room but on arrival were given a room on the bottom floor. The plumbing noise was horrendous. As we were staying for two nights we asked to be moved and they obliged. As we were on a wilderness trip the next day, the staff moved our packed luggage to the new room on the top... More
