My boyfriend and I pulled into the Dalewood Inn on a Saturday afternoon after a long drive from Coombs. The location is right near the water and marina, so we were excited about the awesome views. We checked in and got to our room. We immediately took note that the motel is older with the dark red plush carpet, basic...

We stayed for 2 nights before and one night after a kayak trip. The (?Japanese) owners were very lovely - they looked after our suitcases and passports while we were away and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. They even gave us a little gift when we left. We were able to leave our rental car there onsite...

Rooms are clean and tidy....a little on the old side but nothing horrible. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room had an amazing view of the boat basin and a great sunset. Port McNeil itself is a quaint little town with lovely views from all over the town.

Overall no issues, it was fine, quiet, cool seabreeze in the windows even with the super hot weather. But the bed! I like a firm bed, but this was like sleeping on the ground. It was positively horrible. For that one reason, I would not stay here again. However, if they got new beds, I would definitely stay again.

This is an older motel which needs an update. We were in room #35 which was fairly comfortable. Good for one night's stay. There was a microwave and small fridge in the room. The manager was very friendly.

Okay, Port McNeill is somewhat at world's end and competition is limited, but this is not at all a good deal of a hotel. Staff is friendly and tries to help, but the hotel is a bit wear down. No joy to stay here at least the hotel itself has no atmosphere. Okay, you have a coffeemaker, a large TV...

Not sure where the rooms with the comfy beds are in the other reviews, but we sure didn't get one, it was like sleeping on plywood. It was clean enough for a quick sleep after getting off the ferry late at night; but as we were leaving in the morning, we drove past a few other places we really wished...

Dalewood Inn is in a cluster of four businesses, together: hotel, pub, shushi restaurant and cold beer and wine store. On a hill, walking distance from the harbour, ferry terminal, several restaurants, grocery store and tourist information place. There is ample parking. The hotel is old and in need of a renovation, but clean, relatively quiet and good value for...

Room was somewhat ok, no AC, fans or hope of a breeze! No Towels, no ice. Owner had ice machine, but you had to buy Ice at Liquor store. Extremely dated, surely not worth $50. let alone $100 per night... Came to fish, relax and enjoy the area. We ended up laughing about this place and I told my husband...

I am quite amused by this hotel, as Port McNeil doesn't have many economic options -and I expected this place to be a dive. I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodating and friendly welcome, as well as the cheerful and genuine nature of the owners. When we were told twice, about the 11PM curfew, I had to smile as I...
