I stayed at the Bird's Nest B&B on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. The owners were very helpful. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon when I checked in so I took my book and sat outside on the side patio enjoying the warmth of the sun and the peace and quiet. The furnishings in the common room were quite comfortable. I...

Floors were filthy - could not take off shoes. Shower had pink mould in it. Window ledges had dead flies & bugs. Kitchen was dirty - washcloth filthy and sink dirty as well. Spilled food in freezer and grease stains on cook top. Host wore clothes that needed a good wash. Residence was very very tired. Choose another place.

I'm shocked this place is in business. The house does not meet basic standards for cleanliness. It smells and there is a level of dirt/grime that is omnipresent. I'd put it on par with a house you may have lived in during university with 7+ of your friends. Because of poor data connection near Deer Lake I could not check...

We stayed one night at the Bird's Nest Bed & Breakfast prior to catching our flight back home following our vacation in Newfoundland. On the plus side, it is located about a 10 minute drive from the airport and is reasonably priced. However, it was in need of a good cleaning and vacuuming. Our room was average at best but...

House was dirty. Beds clean and comfortable. Sunroom was nice and cozy. Owner is super nice and i liked that breakfast was included and homemade. Not the worst place. Ok for just one night but would not stay more than that. The floors were filthy. Just ok.

The host was very friendly. It's a very nice home with a beautiful sun room. We were given a double room with a separate bathroom (very spacious though). But the bedding wasn't clean. We both were bothered by the unpleasant smell and didn't sleep well. If your nose isn't that sensitive as ours, this is a good place to stay.

I get the sense a few years ago this was not a good place to stay, but recent reviews have been better and I can confirm it is fine. I was in the Kingfisher room, private bath and ceiling fan, good bed, etc. The common areas were good and Gordon was an excellent host. I would stay here again. It...

We spent one night at Bird's nest. Gord was a friendly and hard working host. The rooms were comfortable but not a clean as the other B&B's we encountered. Noise from next room at 3 a.m. was an annoyance but not managers fault. We were very impressed with the building and decor.

Was a nice place, Gord was very friendly and there was lots of common area and the breakfast was very good. My only complaint is that the bathroom could have been a little cleaner and there could have been a few more towels. We had the room with the jet tub and around the jets hadn't been cleaned in a...

Loved the spacious common areas available for our use, including the deck. Room was nice and clean, but could have used more surfaces (shelves, small tables) for charging electronics, etc. Choice of hot breakfast or serve yourself with your friendly host, Gord. Good value and a pleasant stay.
