We booked three nights at the Green Highlander Lodge. We had two small bedrooms with a small bathroom. First night we slept in the queen bed - it was so hard we could hardly move in the morning. We then tried the twin beds - they were so worn that we would practically fall out of them. Yes, I know,... More

The room was smaller than expected, very tight. but it was clean. we had a private deck facing the water. Not a bad view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Could not have asked for better. Breakfast was very good too. If I were to complain about anything it would be the parking, mostly because we were on a... More

The hotel sits at the end of the town's 3-block commercial area near the Alexander Graham Bell museum. Suites are situated off a relatively spacious, homey common lounge area decorated in sort-of-Scottish style where you are tempted to hang out to catch up on emails and browse the internet. We stayed in the Blue Charm suite, one queen, 2 twins... More

The lodge has a great location including rooftop patios for each room with harbour views. Common room was cottagey. Beds were quite uncomfortable and exhaust fan from restaurant below ran all night- to call it white noise is an understatement. Breakfast choices in morning were abundant and the food was well prepared- best 'included' breakfast we've had- way more than... More

Stayed just one night as we were passing through Baddeck. The location is definitely a bonus. Located in downtown Baddeck you are walking distance from everything. It is a quaint little spot. Done over to look like a fishing lodge there is a small common sitting area and 3 suites. We stayed in the "Blue Charm". It had a separate... More

We recently stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. The owners were very helpful and nice and our room was cleaned well daily. The breakfast included was delicious - much better than the one at the famous Keltic Inn on the Cabot Trail where we stayed one night! The owner was in a hurry the last night we were... More

We stayed 2 nights in this lodge with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1 family suite downstairs. Designed as a fishing lodge, it is comfy and cozy as opposed to sophisticated or historic. The balconies off of each room, are spacious and overlook the main street below, the water and the beautiful yachts and sail boats moored close to the pier.... More

Several years ago, while on a trip to Cape Breton, I pondered that this would probably be a good place to stay and have a meal. My wife and I are glad we went from wondering to doing just that. Lovely room upstairs. Great to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the evening as a lone piper walked through... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our tour around Nova Scotia and the Cabot Trail. We had one of the upstairs rooms which was really comfortable with a good bed, shower and of course the deck to sit on with a glass, or 2, of wine and look at the view. As stated the check-in is interesting... More

We had a great stay at the Green Highlander, the rooms e has were a nice size with a common room where you can chill or whatever. The view of the wharf and the closeness of the town were excellent. As far as some people saying that the staff and service were a little odd, I can only say that... More
