It exceeded my every expectation! It felt like a little slice of heaven. I’ve never experienced anything like it before ! It is one of a kind. It is something so special to have in this area. A vacation where you don’t need to get on a plane. The food was amazing, and so was the tea. The spa treatments were to die for and I truly felt relaxed the entire time. I highly recommend saying here!
A visit to Ste. Anne’s is always like a mini holiday. It is perfection, with friendly staff throughout the building who do their best to make you feel special. The treatments are always amazing and there are so many other activities to enjoy, hiking, visiting the stables, baking demonstrations, steam room, hot tub, sauna, plunge pool, etc. Or you can just relax in vintage charm.
My husband and I stayed at Ste. Anne's Spa at the end of September for our 4 year wedding anniversary and what a spectacular spot to get away too. It was shocking to me that such a magical place could be found so close to the city.
We stayed for three nights and were in one of the cottages off site of the main grounds. They also have rooms right on site but they were unavailable at the time of our booking. We were in the Bird Song cottage in Eagle's nest which was a spectacular room with soaring cathedral ceilings a fireplace, sitting area and king bed. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds i've ever slept in staying away before! We really enjoyed being at the cottage and they are really great about coming and picking you up and shuttling you back to the main in when ever you need it! There is also a hot tub at the cottage which you only share with two other rooms. And honestly we were the only ones using the night we did.
The packages may seem a bit pricy but I assure you that it is worth every penny. It is fully all inclusive and they really will do anything for you at Ste. Anne's. The spa services were all wonderful, my husband and I each had three booked and in future I think we may add one more. All of your meals are booked for you and you have an itinerary which they give you upon arrival. You can if you want eat all of your meals in your robe, and it may be weird at first but pretty much everyone does it! (Though I found most people did wear their day clothes to dinner). The food at the restaurant is exceptional. I know they say on their website it isn't "fine dining" but the food is amazing and they have a different special everyday as well. Plus everything is fresh and local which we loved. The only complaint is that I wish some of the servers knew how to open wine bottles with corks a bit better! We brought some really nice bottles with us a coupe of nights and there were a few times I was concerned they were going to break the cork!
There was some construction happening as they are adding to the outdoor spa area but other than it being a bit of an eyesore from the restaurant you really couldn't hear it at all. granted we were there from a Friday-Monday so not sure how it would have been on a weekday.
They have some lovely hiking trails which I highly recommend doing as the surrounding forests and area are just beautiful. Also the eucalyptus steam room and the outdoor pools are all open till 11pm which many people forget. My husband and I made it our nightly tradition to take some wine to the hottub and plunge pool area after dinner and we were typically the only ones there each night! It was lovely!
If you're looking for a special relaxing getaway from the stresses of the city then this is the place to go. There are so many spots to hideaway and relax here and it really feels like a castle in Ontario. Thank you to everyone at Ste. Anne's who made our stay so wonderful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ste-Anne’s in October 2018. I refer to it as “HEAVEN”! I began visiting Ste-Anne’s in the late 90’s, and have found that over the years, it has managed to make improvements, while maintaining it’s familiar, intimate and comfortable charm. You are treated like royalty as soon as you walk in and get into your soft terry cloth robe and drink your cucumber-infused spring water (from a fresh water spring on their land no less).
The PEOPLE are fantastic and do whatever is needed to make your stay the best it can be. As someone said to us during this visit “Anything is possible at Ste-Anne’s”.
The SPA SERVICES are second to none, with a variety that allows you to enjoy something different with every visit.
The GROUNDS are superb. You cannot surpass this view of the Northumberland hills with Lake Ontario off in the distance, the stone buildings, hot tub hidden away into a grotto and the delicious eucalyptus steam room.
The FOOD is amazingly delicious. While being healthy, it is also luscious, delectable and mouth-watering.
No matter how many times I visit the ACTIVITIES seem countless. I seem to run out of time to do everything, however I still find the time to enjoy every moment, even if it is sitting in a comfy corner reading a favourite book or playing a game of Scrabble by the glowing fire.
We had an overnight stay earlier this week. We had high expectations going in and they were certainly met. Although not cheap, between us we had 4 massages and indulged in afternoon tea, dinner, lunch and breakfast. The massages were good to very good, the food and perhaps more importantly the options could fulfill all choices. The room in the main inn was nicely done with a huge King Bed. We had a great and relaxing time
