The typical food of a sugar snack with ham beans sheperd's pie and lots of Maple syrup! Food was excellent, I particularly liked their pea soup! The entertainment was amazing: a musicien plays and sings and bas the crowd involved in a dance game, it is really fun and funny to see. At one point a musicien uses a saw... More

This is quite a way out from Montreal, right in the woods. You get greeted by horse-drawn carriage and a cozy fire outside. The music is nice, but don't count on being able to talk to each other if the place is filled up. People had fun though, but the food was poor to my mind. Watery pea soup, bland... More

Beautiful, traditional and friendly. We made a 1 night stop at Sucrerie de la Montagne. We slept at the cozy "Trapeur" cabin, made a couple of short forest walks and enjoyed the cuisine and the extremely friendly environment at dinner at next early day breakfast. Mr Faucher, his son and the rest of the family and workers have made a... More

Super fun place to take your children. A real Quebecois experience, with traditional food. The communal tables make the place very interesting and warm. There is live music and you can dance as well. The maple syrup tasting is yummy.. Your kids will love it.

I saw a television show that highlighted Sucrerie de la Montagne many years ago. It looked like such a fun experience and I always kept it in the back of my mind that I wanted to go there. I had the opportunity in February and I am so glad that I went! We stayed in a cabin on the premises... More

A step back in history for an interesting experience and the opportunity to,especially for the kids, to see the massive production they are able to have. I was here with a private group, so there were no other people around, but I can see how it could be very busy on a public day. The restaurant served a breakfast family... More

I recently spent a night and day here and enjoyed myself especially the Quebecois live music and spontaneous dancing by guests - young and old - during dinner. I found my dinner to be very hearty. Heck of a lot of meat and other items that were quite filling. It was a nice dinner but I cannot say the food... More

Ok this is a well oiled machine of a sugar shack. This is a big operation that packs in the people so if you want intimate this is not for you. Want great entertainment, great groups playing music in each dining room and a wonderful vibe this is your place. Lots of maple syrup on the table. The food was... More

Cost: the cost for two adults was just under $80, which was more than we would pay to go again. Atmosphere and entertainment: the setting was rustic and beautiful. You park your car in the parking lot and either walk in or ride a horse-drawn wagon. The cabane is set in a sort of village with a ticket booth, a... More

Such a lovely place to go out and eat pancakes. The all you can eat formula ensures you get as many pancakes and water you want for just €7 per person. This feast takes place in a lovely dining room exhaling charm, authenticiy and antiquity. The entire sucrerie is a joy to visit, taking you back to a time when... More
