We were intrigued by photos seen of this establishment and its location. The view from their location on the top of the hill is incredible and the hotel appears to be quite nice. We did look at one room that happened to be vacant and felt it was small. We had a "tapas" type lunch and everything was well prepared...

We hiked a beautiful trail and ended up close to this restaurant. We weren't ready for dinner so we had a cheese plate and mezcal. What a treat!!! We thouroughly enjoyed the experience. We plan to go back for dinner some day.

Yesterday (sept/15) we stayed in El Porton del Cielo and we celebrated MExico´s famous and acclaimed and fun *El grito* or Independece day! This is the first time at this Hotel, and trust me, it wont be the last... This place is gorgeous.. Its on a hill, so the view is impecable, with tons of vegetation, and the most and...

Perched on ahillside this hotel is a half hour walk from the town center but it has a view to die for over the lake. My room was Golondria (Swallow) and was a 'suite' but it was very small, the bathromm was tiny and the suite was a balcony a metre wide. I felt I was conned. Restaurant served excellent...

This is a great place to spent a couple of days to relax or to escape to have a romantic weekend. The view of Janitzio lake is great. The hotel decor has great a great Mexican touch and you can have all the privacy you need. 5 minutes away is Patzcuaro downtown where you can have local taste of food...

This is a beautiful small hotel, exquisitely decorated with a stunning view of Lake Patzcuaro. It is outside of the city a bit off the beaten track and a wonderful place to relax between visits to the villages around the lake. It is attended by the owners who personally oversee all details. The region is fascinating and the proprietors will assist...

We visited this Hotel January 10, 2012 and were the only guests there at the time. It is not easy to find being up on the Hill but has a fantastic view and a very clean and modern washroom. Make sure you order the firewood as it is the only heating for the room and nights are chilly up at...

We spent more of our days at this hotel than originally intended because my partner was struck down with altitude sickness for all of our stay. The staff were fantastic, from the manager to the cleaners to the guy starting the fire. Very kind and attentive and even rang us at our next hotel to check how we were going....

One can tell that every detail has been thought out. The decoration is superb. The beds and linens are wonderful. The view is to die for--it is so striking. However, the rooms are cold in the winter and there is still work to be done with the hot water and water pressure. Jesus made up for it by always bringing...
