This was our second visit with Marcia and Kim. First time, 6 years ago we rented a house and now we stayed in one of the MBG rooms. The beach was ten steps away from our room. The restaurant and bar 10 steps away in the other direction. Marcia and Kim are unbelievable hosts anticipated our needs even before we...

Everything you want and expect from a beach vacation. Vacant beach, beautiful water, palm trees, laid back atmosphere, good food, great hosts. Lots of day trips available but I recommend simply relaxing on the beach with a good book. One thing of note on this trip was the pineapple coconut sorbet. Truly world class! I always enjoy being eating something...

We rented the lower level of a house from the folks at Mayan Beach Garden (MBG). The three bedroom, two bath house was perfect for us. This is our fourth stay with them, twice at their hotel and twice in houses they rent. We ate all our meals for a week at MBG and they have great, fresh, local food....

We so enjoyed meeting your daughters. It was fun getting to know them. I"m so happy you enjoyed the food during your stay, I will make sure and tell the cooks. Look for announcements about Ichkabal, a new ruin slated to open late 2017/early 2018. It has temples that are taller than Coba and also a man made reservoir full...

I have never seen a private paradise for less than $100! Mayan Beach Garden is a very cute small hotel 13 miles from Mahahual in Costa Maya, where you can be in a 2-mile turquoise water and white sand beach with no one else but you. Very picturesque and clean rooms, you can wake up having your coffee in paradise...

We are so happy you enjoy what we have to offer. We have been so blessed this year to have our beautiful beach back and to welcome our guests to our little paradise. Every time someone mentions our food, I tell my cooks, who take great pride in what they do. Thank you for taking time out of your busy...

Mayan Beach Garden is a very friendly and cozy B&B run by Marcia and Kim. Their location 4 hours south of Cancun, on the azure Caribbean water, is just far enough to escape the hustle of the Riviera Maya. It is an easy and safe drive from the Cancun airport. Cars are cheap in Mexico. The tropical inn has several...

I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and that you appreciate the tranquility and peace. It isn't for everyone. we consider our quests to be those special people who can enjoy quiet, the sound of silence when you are on a kayak out on the sea and the dark of night where we purposefully limit the light so...

We stayed at MBG almost 2 weeks as we became addicted to the slow and lazy live there. The best way to get there is by car as it is located approx 30 km from Mahahual. The owners Kim and Marcia can also pick you up when you arrive by bus from Chetumal. I recommend to contact the owners by...

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review. Now that it is November, the wind returned to it natural speed and blew almost everything out. What you thought were sand flies (we don't have any) were either these super tiny mosquitoes, or "chiquistas." They travel in swarms, so sometimes you have them, but most times you don't. Its...

I've been to MBG a mumber of times, in fact I was there just a few months ago but for a very short visit. My wife and I and another couple wanted to go somewhere and just "do nothing" while being pampered. So we kinda did nothing. We hung on the beach, snorkeled from shore, did some paddle-boarding and spent a...

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review. We loved having you visit, especially since this time you brought your wife. One of the things I enjoy are meeting people around the dinner table. Some people are excellent conversationalists and both you and your wife were super interesting. I love Nick too and we are so happy you...

I visited once before, briefly. This time I stayed for one month. The beach is a coral reef and you can snorkel right off the shore in many places. The owners, Marcia & Kim, are very welcoming, kind and attentive. The food is amazing thanks to Dori & Fabiola. Everything (!!) is fresh and house made. A full breakfast is...

There are some guests you will always remember and you are one of those. We are so thankful that you spent the month here. I can't thank you enough for the care you took of the beach, the many bags of plastic you picked up saving countless sea life by doing so. I love it when my guests care about...

Review for AirB&B Mayan Beach Garden - Marcia Mortensen Sept 2016 We stayed for one week during the slow season in this neremote beautiful place. If you're expecting a hotel with all the amenities you can imagine then Mayan Beach Garden is not for you. This is a wonderful small resort (7-9 rooms), off the beaten path (a half hour drive to Mahahual), with decent wifi, no tvs, family style dinner (all the guests eat together with the owners), no real AC and no fancy...

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review. And you are 100% correct. That Sargasso was a nghtmare. I was so obsessed with it, but last November, the currents and the wind changed, and after a year of my nightmare, it was gone. Completely gone in a matter of three weeks. The beaches are like it never existed. I kept...
