Large hotel orientated towards business travellers. Although the corridors felt a bit tired, my room was fairly premium, with lots of marble tiles in the shower room, large comfortable bed and mood lighting. A smart TV would have been nice and I’m not a big fan of the toiletries screwed to the wall - too often the pump is faulty. The rain shower head clearly hadn’t been descaled in years, spraying water in every direction but downwards. And why not fit these walk in showers with a door, as otherwise the floor becomes a skating rink.
The bar was nice - lots of spirits, friendly staff and it was toasty on a very chilly evening. Decent breakfast choices, although a bit average quality for breads and pastries.
The car park was free, but in terrible condition. There is a big building project going on at the back which doesn’t do anything for the hotel’s appearance and roadworks in front causing a big jam in the morning.

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, warm, welcoming, smiling, attention to detail staff then, Crowne Plaza, Gerrards Cross UK should be your next stop. What a difference it makes when a new team of staff make you feel at home. My very recent stay for 2 nights has left me totally recharged simply because of staff 'Twinkle' from 1269 Restaurant Bar and Grill, 'Victoria' from Reception, 'Gabrianna' from the Club Lounge and Bar and Grill and of course the General Manager- 'Edward' all of which went that extra mile (or two) to attend to my needs. My partner and I have been going to Crowne Plaza for the last 10 years and this has been the best service by far. In addition to the full functioning facilities- steam, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool, treatments and the most comfortable bed and clean rooms, you have no choice but to return home floating on cloud nine. We'll be back!

Superb hotel with high quality look and feel throughout. Excellent helpful and friendly staff are everywhere. Good location for the area and near major road links but still with some nice views. Nice big car park as well.

Loved the nice sized pool and jacuzzi along with steamer. Excellent health and fitness feature of hotel. Nice cosy bar area and restaurant off to side for dinner and breakfast. Loved the Shepherd’s Pie. So scrumptious and perfect size.

Breakfast had everything you needed and was well laid out so you didn’t all bump into each other getting your bits. You can really set yourself up for the day. Definitely glad I included breakfast.

Room was smart and stylish and had a big comfy bed. Nice walk in shower, struggled a bit with getting the temperature right but mastered it in the end. Good storage and good tea and coffee facilities with a few sweet treats. Not much in the mini bar but not an issue. Room had good air con and easy to warm up as it was a cold night.
All in all a great hotel with super staff.

What a fantastic stay. We came here as a couple to celebrate a 30th birthday. We were greeted by Saba who was so helpful. He really went out his way to welcome us and make our stay really special. He should definitely receive some recognition for his outstanding customer service!

We stayed in room 200 which was large and spacious. The beds were nice and the pillows were super fluffy. They had soaps, shampoos, a hair drier, an iron and offered other complimentary toiletry’s at reception if requested. We also had a pillow sleep spray on our bed which was a really nice touch and was appreciated. We couldn’t hear anyone else from our room. I couldn’t even hear the live band below us in the evening. Our booking included access to the club lounge which had soft drinks and snacks such as nuts, crisps, cookies all complimentary and available all day and free alcohol drinks from 7-9pm which made a huge difference to our stay. They had a good range of items to offer in here and was always well stocked!

We used the spa which was nice and had a treatment which was the only exception to a perfect stay. I paid £60 for a 25 min treatment and rather than relaxing it felt more rushed and was a little painful. The lady who did it for me was talking the majority of the time which I didn’t really appreciate as I hoped to relax. I don’t think I would re book a treatment here as it seemed very over prices for a short non relaxing experience. The main spa it’s self was nice, they included robes and towels. They had nice showers and good hairdryers too. The relaxing room was the best touch which also offered complimentary drinks and fruit.

Breakfast the following day is well worth including in your booking. They had a huge selection to choose from and was fully stocked up so nothing was missing. All the staff in there were more than helpful. They also had breakfast in the club room which was nice as it was quieter.

Over all we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Thanks very much for a memorable stay.

Last time I stayed in Nov 22 it was okay but I wasn’t in a hurry in come back. This time I’ve noticed a complete turn around! Every single hotel staff member had a smile on their face, they all greeted us, and provided a great service. Thank you to Ed & Marcin on the management team, Saba on reception very efficient, amazing massages from Daria & Sharna in the spa, the welcoming team in the health club & pool area. The restaurant staff and of course the amazing chef!

The service was faultless. I was recognised as an IHG Diamond member from check in and treated as such the whole time. My room request was granted, the room was cleaned to a high stand, the bed was very comfortable (new mattresses) and all the room amenities was well stocked. This is the only hotel I know that provides a complimentary mini bar which free stuff in a club/premium room.

The food was on point! The new menu gets my vote! Compliments to the chef and Marcin’s influence. It’s good so see they listened to the customers feedback and have now got a menu which delivers great tasty food all the time. There’s also a new pizza service. The staff in the restaurant by Audriana, Yulia, Yana & George was efficient & professional. The room service food came quickly, hot, fresh, and was very tasty. I recommend the tandoori chicken, garlic prawns, fish n chips and sticky toffee pudding. If we requested anything it was bought to the room in no time at all! The pool and jacuzzi was clean and this hotel has the largest jacuzzi (so you don’t feel like you’re on top of people) with lots of bubbles and 2 large fountain sprays which give great massages. The ambience is calming and peaceful. Live music in the bar on Friday nights!

CPGX made me remember again why I used to come here regularly. I felt happy and proud bringing my friend here and can recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return. Thank you CPGX for helping me to achieve my goals.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza Gerards Cross over Christmas. Our room was lovely, although the pressure in the shower was rather low (it’s controlled by a button and can’t be regulated), making it difficult to wash shampoo out of your hair.
Our major complaint was the service, particularly in the bar but also in the breakfast room, and to a lesser extent at the reception.
Regarding the bar, we had been offered vouchers for "two free drinks per person per night”. The voucher said “Treat yourself to a drink…Choose from a range of beverages, including premium wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages…Drink selection is at the discretion of the hotel.”
In fact, not only did the barmaid refuse to honour the two drinks per person (I had to show her the confirmation email and threaten to go to the reception), but the choice of drinks was so far from the “premium” wine and ”choice of beverages” as to be laughable. Red or white house plonk, beer or soft drinks, and that’s your lot mate! We wanted rosé wine and coffee, but neither of these were included so we had to pay for them.
We left the hotel after our drinks and returned a couple of hours later. The table hadn’t been cleared and the glasses were still there. We sat at another table and ordered coffee. A few minutes later, a waiter arrived with two small dishes of mayonnaise and ketchup. He dumped them on the table and disappeared before we had time to say anything. We then realised that they were intended for another table, which was getting rather annoyed because their chips had been served without mayo and ketchup!
The breakfast room was not crowded, but it took a while before the buffet dishes were replenished, including such basic things as bread. The only coffee machine ran out of water one day and milk the next, leaving people milling around waiting. Table service ranged between hopeless and non-existent.
When checking out, there was only one person on the reception, and although she did a heroic job, the queue reached out into the lounge area and I counted 19 people/couples waiting in line. Unacceptable for this type of hotel.
Finally, the hotel itself is quite far out, so it’s definitely not for anyone who doesn’t have a car. Taxis to the nearest towns are quite expensive.
Although we will be visiting this area quite often in the future, we won’t be going back to this hotel.

We have been staying at Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross for a few years now to celebrate special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, and we have always felt warmly welcomed.
I suffer from various allergies and am recovering from a major health scare, which can make dining out quite challenging. However, the F&B team at Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross went above and beyond to ensure I received the right food and felt genuinely supported. They made me feel cared for, never like a burden- something that can often happen in busy kitchens.

A special shoutout to Twinkle and Rishi and their teams for their exceptional efforts during our stay. Both Twinkle and Rishi individually went out of their way during breakfast, lunch, and dinner to make sure everything was perfect. Their teams were lovely as well, providing service that exceeded all expectations. Their dedication truly made all the difference, and we are grateful for their hospitality.

It’s this kind of thoughtful and outstanding service that makes our staycations here even more memorable. A heartfelt thank you to the team- we can’t wait to return soon!

Check in - My brothers 21st was absolutely ruined by a very unhelpful general manager on the front desk, I believe he goes by the name eddie or something along those lines…
My brother is obviously quiet young and whilst me and my parents waited for him to check us in whilst we unpacked the car, he came out in a fluster claiming that the man on the desk had refused him on the basis that he didn’t hold any ID to confirm our booking. There was obviously a long queue behind him so must of been quite some show of conflict with no resolution.
My parents proceeded to again, queue up and explain the situation at hand which was met with scoffs and a patronising demeanour by the general manager, completely throwing his two pence in and then walking off mid conversation to leave two even more incapable members of staff who only had broken English and was very hard to understand, to deal with our booking.

The room - What we booked was not what we had received, we booked the suite yet was given a dingy single room with a view of the bins and concrete. Honestly without sounding like a snob it was similar to a council estate. At this point my dad phoned down from his room to explain but couldn’t get through after five attempts of being quickly transferred to voicemail. With there being three understaffed desks downstairs I can empathise why this happened!
Horrendous noise was heard all night by a conditioning system no doubt, window not sealed or shut properly and very stiff. Various parties going on in rooms down the hallway, going on to the early hours, doors slamming and loud TVs and voices weee easily heard through the poorly insulated walls.
Can’t fault housekeeping always left room very tidy and fresh smelling without fault.
Noticed a cheap piece of wood supporting the ceiling at the edge of our room near the corridor, absolute health hazard!!!!!

Summary: Before leaving my review I did debate with my parents wether we would give a chance for the Crowne plaza Gerrards cross to rectify the situation but after explaining about my over night developed rash from the dirty hot tub/pool in the spa, we were only met with again, unprofessional and unbothered staff failing to meet our needs or concerns.
I have noticed a few reviews following our interaction with the general manager, about his attitude. Can’t say I am all that surprised by the replies from him/the hotel, completely dodging blame and passive aggressive remarks reflected back onto the customer! Absolutely comical and borderline outrageous. I’ve worked in customer service for a little over 11 years now and I’m sorry but the customer is ALWAYS right. No arguing, if their needs can’t be met there should be an alternative solution instead, not a slap in the face should we say.
Please alter your attitude towards guests, there is a pattern and I don’t reckon anyone appreciates not being ‘remembered’ with their interactions with yourself. The smallest effort can make or break a guests stay. Not sure if these are included in performance reviews but they really should be.

Will NOT be staying here again.

Dear Louis7772, In the first instance, I would like to start my apologising for the issues that you and your family faced during your stay. I am not sure who you were dealing with, but I must stress that it was not me that you and your brother met and I am sorry that he faced so many barriers when trying to check in. I do work around the whole hotel but do not actually perform check-in's, so I must stress that it must have been another member of the team, as I am never referred to as Eddie. I appreciate that this does still not make it any better and I would urge you to contact me directly on edward.adshead@cp-gerrardscross.co.uk when you have some time so I can fully investigate your stay experience for you. I am truly disappointed that we did not resolve this for you and the family before leaving, so please feel free to contact me as I am incredibly keen to get to the bottom of this Edward & the Team

From the moment you step for into the foyer you're met with beaming smiles from behind the reception desks, 3 of them, all manned, so very little queueing. You're made to feel so incredibly welcomed. After a full run down of our stay and booking us in our dinner reservation we were given the keys to our room. The rooms are really clean and fresh, they have just about everything you need and the showers are really nice and powerful.
The spa is really nice as well, the hot water part is really hot! Just like it should be, it was just all really high quality and nice.
Our meal was chosen from a really quite extensive set menu and was really tasty, Myla and Yane took really good care of us and we're just two of a whole host of superb hotel staff. The whole team should be proud.

Stayed at the hotel Late May having been a guest here several times previously. I had purposely booked a premium room similar to previous visits as it included lounge access; a feature that I have always enjoyed using. This models other Crown Plaza hotels that I have stayed at with similar facilities. I was disappointed when I arrived as the reception staff told me the lounge was no longer a feature of the hotel; and I could see that it had been converted to a large meeting/conference room.
That won't bother some people and if you don't look for that option, it won't affect you. However, like me if that is something you enjoy and don't mind paying a little more for then unfortunately it has now gone!
I did query why and the reception staff just confirmed that there was new management. If I had known this had changed, personally I wouldn't have stayed here so now you know, you have a choice!
Sad really that management compromised a popular hotel facility for guests often found in Crown plaza hotels, at the expense of presumably additional revenue gained from a conference room available for hire!
