Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Immediately impressed by the Travelodge Buckingham when I phoned after booking online to request a room In a quiet location. Although the booking had only just been processed the lady I spoke to (believe Teresa?) was quickly on it and assured me that would be no problem. She answered several other queries and was extremely helpful. On arrival we were met at reception by the same lady and the check in process was quickly completed. Although this Travelodge doesn’t have a restaurant on site we were given courteous advice about nearby local alternatives for both evening meal and breakfast. The room itself was well presented, clean, warm and well maintained. A request for an ironing board/iron was speedily addressed and the shower was excellent! I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and must confess to having been very pleasantly surprised by the standard of this so-called ‘budget hotel’. Thank you!

Room absolutely filthy especially the bathroom. Walls over the bath full of dirt and scum. When showering you are either rubbing against a dirty wall or shower curtain. As the lighting is poor in the bathroom and with a fixed shower head it will be easy for a cleaner not to notice the dirt building up, but unfortunately that is no excuse for the headboard etc in the bedroom.

Staff are always welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are always very clean and tidy. The carpark is shared with Starbucks and can get busy. Buckingham has some interesting architecture with the old prison in the centre of town and a couple of antique shops.

The staff are attentive and supportive, making check-in seamless, and any issues were promptly addressed. I look forward to another stay as we often visit relatives in the area. The abundance of local shops and restaurants also makes dining out convenient.

Very clean. Very polite, helpful, friendly service. I checked in mid evening, very easy to track my booking and staff helped with all details I needed to know for my stay. Please share these very positive comments with the staff, that would be much appreciated.

Great for a late stop over. Well located. Lots of food delivery options for dinner. Friendly reception. Clean rooms but could do with a bit of a refresh. Good price. Very quiet at night considering the car park was full.

It's time for Travelodge to ie this venue a facelift to stay competitive. We had a lovely warm welcome for the receptionist but sadly he didn't seem to know which floor our room was on - he sent us with all our suitcases and bags to the very last room on the ground floor for us to find that the room was on the top floor. thankfully he helped me up with my suitcase as I had just had a knee replacement op. The bed was clean and comfortable. Bedside tables need a USB port or at least a plug socket for phone charging. The only sockets were next to the kettle about 10 feet away. There was no shower mat available - I had to borrow one from my relative I was visiting. The room furniture and fitments need a refresh overall. Two chairs were in the room but no small table to place a teacup. I am very happy to pay more - travellers do expect more these days, even from budget rooms. I'm afraid I'll be using Buckingham Travelinn next time.

We stayed on Boxing Day, and cannot rate highly enough. Lovely big room with modern decor and a lovely king size comfortable bed. Room and bathroom were spotless. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
