The restaurant manager - Anna - was absolutely wonderful. She very kindly organised the most beautiful non-alcoholic VERY last minute gift hamper within half an hour and had it delivered to friends staying in the hotel. I couldn't have been happier she called me back numerous times when needed and discussed details with me patiently when she no doubt had...

My wife treated me to the stay at Cliveden House our last night in England before returning to Malibu. She had stayed there about 20 years ago and wanted to share her wonderful stay at this historic venue. They upgraded us to a suite with views of the fantastic grounds of the estate. The food was great and the service...

As an overall observation, Clievden is beautiful, the house and grounds stunning and the staff excellent, however, it only takes one member of staff to ruin and damage all that good work and one member of staff at the front desk managed to deliver a type of service i have not seen in 30 years which ruined a perfect stay...

We stayed for two nights in the Sterling suite. It was huge and opulent. We ate at both restaurants and enjoyed them both, although the best dinner we had was at the Astor Grill - sole with leeks and butter served in a sizzling cast iron skillet. It was superb. Some of the staff we felt were a touch subtly...

firstly the barman split champagne down a friends jacket and trousers and the chair and carpet he went off without really looking and brought back more champagne and a cloth to wipe the chair and floor no apology!! the meal was not exceptional although nice we seemed to have a waitress or waiter for each segment - bread, butter, spread,...

My husband and I stayed in the opulent Astor suite, which includes a large private terrace overlooking the grounds. The room is beautifully appointed and I could spend hours in the marble bath! The service was incredibly attentive. The tasting menu was absolutely stunning, and the sommelier was entertaining and knowledgeable. To finish off the trip, a walk through the...

Excellent news that you are already planning your next visit. The Spa is due to open in a week or two - we cant wait - it really is going to be rather good. The Lady Astor suite is one of our finest but I can also recommend the Prince of Wales and Shrewsbury suites - both quite magnificent. See...

My wife and I recently stayed at Cliveden for the second time in two years. Both times we've stayed at Cliveden have been amazing. The guest house is rich with history and beautifully appointed. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The food is wonderful. In short, what a great place to spend a night or two. Some highlights: (1) afternoon...

Our American guests requested a traditional 'high tea' and since they were going on to stay at The Goring in London we decided that Cliveden might impress! We were not disappointed. Tea is not difficult and we could have gone to a whole catalogue of local places but this was just so special and a lovely memory to take with...

Full Afternoon Tea is indeed a theatrical treat that should be enjoyed by everyone at least once. I am very pleased that you mentioned that the staff made Cliveden stand out from the crowd - especially that they were "unstuffy" - we do try to be a friendly bunch here. I hope your American guests enjoyed the Goring in London...

We ate in the main restaurant and had the seven course tasting menu which was excellent. The wine was expensive and perhaps a few more at the lower end would be appreciated by diners. As it was a sunny day we also had a walk around the grounds which only added to the occasion.

Good news that you enjoyed your dinner in the André Garrett Restaurant. I have mentioned your thoughts on the wine list to the sommelier. I hope to be able to welcome you back to the house soon. Best wishes Kevin Brooke

Visited today with my three children and the grounds were wonderful. Lunch in the orangery was lovely, relaxed and child friendly. The play area and surrounding gardens were clean and tidy. The whole day was filled with vibrant colours and laughter from my children. Just fab!
