Went for afternoon tea, was greeted by a very unfriendly lady to be shown to our table - not a great start! Surroundings are beautiful and the afternoon tea although delicious the service was extremely slow and one of the afternoon teas were missing a couple of cakes. Disappointed that the Christmas tree was being decorated as you were eating...

Eight of us went to the Andre Garrett Restaurant, for my daughters 18th birthday. I booked the table easily online, but phoned a couple of days beforehand to check. When entering the hotel the efficient doorman took all our coats and we entered the impressive grand hall. At this point, we were not sure where to go. It would have...

We chose to stay at Cliveden House on our wedding night as my wife had wanted to get married at Cliveden since she was a little girl- however due to their capacity this simply wasn't possible. We were however assured that as Cliveden had a one bride policy that we would still be able to take wedding photos at Cliveden...

The hotel, the food and drinks are amazing. The only issue with the hotel is the staff - they are overworked, and understaffed without adequate training. The room service was non existent, and the staff are unable to assist with simple queries, and check-out was a complete shambles. The hotel caters more for afternoon tea visitors than it does its...

A very nice and very comfortable treat to recharge. Friendly staff and good food in the main restaurant. Afternoon tea was very enjoyable and the bar & bar staff are great. The pancake for breakfast was probably the best i have ever had! NB: Avoid the Astor grill, that was not great and very expensive. Lovely walks and great views....

Impressive drive up view of Cliveden, welcomed by door man and directed to the non guest bar/lounge. Took a little time for us to be noticed with others being served before us even though they sat down after we did. When drinks we're ordered they arrived swiftly which was good. We watched as the table next to us got the...

Stayed at Cleveden for two nights due to a hunting trip. The marvellous surroundings and the amazing garden is overwhelming. We had billiard room where we could stay with our dog. The room was spacious and cosy. You felt like home the minute you entered the estate. We rented the tennis court for one morning and went for a run...

A magnificent old country house that is a wonderful hotel. Famous in English history. An expensive and charming spot. Rooms are all period furnished and the restaurants are really good and sophisticated. Grounds are enormous with access to the Thames.

wonderful place fantastic for family, river Thames at the foot of the place, well run cafe and then of course the snob value is the house and fine dining it provides...where the likes of yours truly would not feel comfortable...i come from the class that has its nose pressed against the glass looking in...never good enough to actually go in....

Splendid as beautiful as ever and the wine and food is much improved, I'm much happier there now knowing that plaster will not fall on my head and furniture will function, I remember one dinner in 95 and we retired to the study for drinks and a spot of passion and the sofa we were making out on creeked like...
