This is a beautiful old country home in extensive gardens and within a pretty village. The house feels like a home and has lovely furnishings. For example, breakfast is served on a grand mahogany dining tables with a chandelier above. The rooms are full of character and are traditional British- such as with a flowery bedspread. If you are looking...

The house is huge, so you have lots of privacy in your room, which is very very comfortable and spacious. The gardens are also nice for wandering in or sitting in if the weather is nice. In fact the village is very nice, with lots of historic elements to it. And the food at the crown and the dog and...

Recently stayed at the house for a night in the hot summer. It was a lovely place to stay with great wifi. We enjoyed our meal at the Crown and the amazing breakfast at the Linton Kitchen cafe. Definitely worth checking out and their cakes look amazing

Thank you Judith, Judith's daughter and Aggie (sorry about the spelling) for making our stay memorable. It is a beautiful, peaceful house, lovingly kept with the most amazing garden and conservatory in a quiet location in Linton, a short bus trip or drive from Cambridge. We were made very welcome at all times and everyone was very friendly. Whilst having...

Four of us booked this lovely place having seen it on the Sawdays website and, if this is typical of that company’s standards, then we’ll use it again. We had a lovely welcome from our hostess, Judy Rossiter, who showed us both double rooms, allowing each couple to choose which one they wanted. Neither was disappointed. Ours was a large...

What a fabulous find this place was! Gorgeous house with so many interesting old knick knacks lying around, feels like being in a grand old house from yesteryear. We loved it, even though we usually go for modern boutiquey hotels, this was a refreshing change. Lovely cooked breakfast too, and sat at a large table with another couple who were...

Thank you for pointing out that Springfield is a far cry from a boutique B and B ! Our aim is for it to be a home from home and we do have a lot of regular guests who find it a comfortable place to stay when working away from their homes . We chose to furnish the house in...

What a wonderful and accommodating lady Judith is. She went above and beyond our expectations. Springfield House is first and foremost Judiths family home yet, she made us feel more than welcome and relaxed during our 3 nights stay. The English breakfast was delicious, also her homemade stewed plums were the perfect start to our day. The house is set...

Judith is the ideal British host - available but never hassling her guests; helpful but not gushing. The house is very elegant and comfortable - smart bathrooms and lovely period bedrooms (very large as the scale of the house would suggest). She kindly allowed us to leave our car at the house once we'd checked out (going for a long...

It is always nice to have visitors who want to enjoy all that the area has to offer . There are some excellent walks in and around the village in addition to the Ickneild Way which goes right through Linton . It is always a pleasure to help visitors choose a walk which fits the time they have available .
