Lovely welcome from Pedro, room was good two double beds, iron, tea and coffee, canal view, yummy breakfast. This was our 3rd visit its a good base for Chester and Liverpool. But I would not recommend the hotel restaurant. We had to wait up to a hour after ordering our mains even though it was a empty room, and others were being served before us who arrived after. When the food came my daughters was wrong, and when the restaurant manager asked if everything was ok , and I gave polite feedback regarding it took a long time to arrive, She became confrontational with me, trying to engage in a argument with me she would not move away. I was eating and had to control her by putting my hand up and say sorry but that's my opinion. I was then put right off my food, being upset and embarrassed by her outburst. My daughter then showed me her chicken that was red in the middle but hard on the edges. I decided to not advise this rude staff member, but did advise her I would speak to the Hotel Manager regarding her attitude and the food. I was refunded the meal and given a free bottle from the manager who did apologize for this terrible experience . But Why she had this bad attitude towards me when I was answering her question I don't Know! All hotel staff are great, but the restaurant manager is letting you down.

This was our second time staying here the 1st time was good but this time it exceeded our expectations. On booking i asked if we could put bday candles on our sons pancackes in the morining as it was his 10th birthady they said yes of course. When we arrived into our room they had set up a plate with happy birthday written in chocolate and little choc treats. He was so happy. In the morning he was given a goody bag with little treats inside, and not only did they bring out his pancakes they also brought out a plate of 4 cupcakes with a candle on each one and sang to him and also got the rest of the restaurant to join in. Thank you so much to all the team for an awesome stay and making a 10 yr old very very HAPPY.

easy to find, check in was quick. room on top floor (325). overlooked the canal and manchester ship canal. also local industry. booked a table in restaurant for evening meal. when we sat down for meal was given menu and specials board, decided i would order off specials board. drinks arrived and was then told no more specials were available. so ordered the fish off the main menu, more time passed and was then informed no more fish. so i ordered the gammon and was informed it would be complimentry/free. sleep was fine the three nights we were there. i would stay again, but there is a lot more of britain i want to see.

I was looking for a venue to hold my daughter’s baby shower and, having previously been to a wedding at the hotel and also had afternoon tea there I knew how perfect this venue would be. From my initial phone call, to enquire about the booking for a baby shower/ afternoon tea, to the actual event, the customer service and professionalism I received was second to none. A big, big thank you to Jordan, Shann, Clare and every other member of staff who helped to make the day as wonderful as it turned out. The room was fabulous, the location is amazing, the afternoon tea was superb and everyone had a wonderful time. I will definitely book this hotel for any future events and would recommend it 100%. Nanny to be.

My boyfriend and I decided last minute that we wanted a little weekend trip away somewhere, so he surprised me with booking a few activities and told me to pack an overnight bag. I had absolutely no idea where we were going but I had the best time, and that was all down to the incredible staff! It believe the first lovely lady we met was Shann (sorry if spelt wrong) but she was so friendly, polite and helpful. We came down for a bite to eat at around 11:30 and met the night staff which I believe were Alex and Dale. We had a lovely pizza and some garlic bread, and we had good laugh with them as they were just as great! We were greeted in the morning by the breakfast team and the food was lovely and plenty of options to accommodate everyone. Overall the stay was amazing, all incredible staff, a brilliant room and beautiful views! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, massive thank you and we will be back!! Room 220, Lucy & Kenz xx

Well where shall I start... This is the first time we have stayed in a Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port. It has to begin with a big massive WOW! And a big massive THANK YOU for such a lovely weekend in this hotel. We decided to book this last minute for a 1 night stay after a shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks. We ended up booking extra nights and stayed for the weekend, I'm so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing! Restaurant quality, couldn't fault anything, 10/10 to the Chef☆☆☆☆☆ We arrived there in the evening about 7pm. The staff are absolutely amazing. We where greeted by the early evening manager Vicky Ash, she was so polite and very welcoming. She made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. She was very informative about everything we needed to know about the hotel, as in meal times/menus the facilities available to us such as swimming pool, 24hr bar and room service! Vicky is such lovely person and so hospitable, we look forward to seeing her again on our next visit. But most of all we would really like thank Alex May and Dale Guyton, who covered the late evening shift. These guys where absolutely amazing! They where so fuuny and we had such a memorable, enjoyable weekend with them. They where both really easy going young guys; with a great sence of humour. We had an 2 night stay there! And had we not been in work the next day, i think we'd still be there now!!! These guys are an absolute credit to Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port! These guys could run this hotel hands down between the 2 of them without a doubt! Its obviouse to see why people come to stay at this hotel, and we will definitely be back! The fact local residents call in for an evening meal or drink of a weekend says it all... especially when there are plenty of other restaurants and bars in the area! We spoke with some lovely local people who where in there... they said they come here because they love the the food, drinks and people who work here! We totally agree and will definitely be back! Thanks for a great weekend guys, we will definitely see you all soon. Marie & Paul Xxx

Stayed here for work on Monday and Tuesday this week. I found the hotel easily and there was parking at the hotel. The reception staff were both very welcoming and took me through the facilities available and timings. The receptionist, Saan (sorry if spelling is wrong) had a trainee with them and they were both really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, warm and had everything you would need. The breakfast at the hotel was really nice. Every member of staff I met at the hotel was a credit to the hotel and Holiday Inn brand. I will be back the next time I am in the area.

This hotel is close to Cheshire Oaks and very well served by the road network. It is set next to/in the middle of a canal boat museum and just off the Manchester Ship Canal so it is literally surrounded by water. We stayed on New Years Day, the room was really nice - big by standards of what I am used to at IHG. Great check-in by Elle and when we ate in the bar later we had good service from the young man there (apologies, didn’t get a name). The food - basically a snack selection- was good quality and not too expensive. We seemed to get this hotel at a good price - I have never stayed here before but have looked at it when booking and is often over £100 - and so it was very good value. Breakfast was excellent.

Am a regular visitor. Rooms really smart and clean. Lovely staff. Free on site parking. Lovely canal side hotel with views up the estuary. Up there with the very best breakfast I had in any hotel. Everything just cooked perfectly and the lovely ladies who serve the tables work tirelessly with a smile. Would not consider any other local hotel, local premier inn is often more expensive than holiday inn Cheshire oaks and they are in a completely different league here. Looking forward to many more stays in 2024.
