Does what it says on the tin! Just what you need as a base for visiting relatives. We have used this before for the airport, early departure. Easy check in everything as it should be, would come back again!
Don't eat in the pub next door. Been twice sent food back and very poor quality for the price *THIS IS NOT A PREMIER INN PREMISES*

Stayed as we have family nearby and booked for a reasonable rate.
We definitely booked a double rate (which I double checked) but were met with a very unfriendly receptionist who told us we had booked a single room and would therefore need more towels (not a problem but the tone and welcome to the hotel was a little hostile).

The room was fine, bed super comfy as you’d expect for a Premier Inn but we only had one pillow each and no spares in the room. After already having an issue with towels I didn’t want a battle to request more pillows.
The room was clean but did have a slight unpleasant smell. Bathroom was fine but looked a little tired.
Something to bear in mind, there were only two available plugs in the room. Neither of which were next to the bed.a minor point but not great for charging devices/setting alarms etc.

Parking is free when staying as a hotel guest which is an advantage.

Overall, an average stay. We probably wouldn’t return as other family members received much higher levels of service and general hotel standard for not a huge amount more than we payed.

My 2nd time staying here to visit some friends nearby.

Free parking is good and the 24 hour reception as well - although I did let them know I was arriving very late so they knew I was still coming.

Was comfortable with the arrangements in place in current Covid situation and didn't feel like it impacted my stay in any negative way in comparison to my visit last year.

Staff are all friendly and helpful and makes it feel like a small local hotel rather than a chain. Thank you to them all.

Although I'm heavily influenced by how close it is to my friends, I'd still recommend to anyone who wanted to stay nearby. It would be even better if a £29 room came one one time, but being near the airport this seems less likely! Haha.

Overall a trouble free stay that met expectations and would happily stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our friends were getting married round the corner and we’ve always loved a premier inn. The young gentleman on reception was very helpful & polite. Shame there wasn’t breakfast options but we had rang to double check this first. We managed to get a delivery from a local cafe. The bulls head pub next door (we had an evening meal in here) was very delicious and staff are friendly too.
The room we stayed in was very dated so I’m guessing the rest are the same. The fan came on in the bathroom every time we put the light on and it wasn’t the quietest so couldn’t put on in the middle of night so I didn’t wake my husband. Only 2 plug sockets in the room and not even next to the bed (where you would usually charge a phone) & signal in our room was shocking but only used it for social media and not business. We did get free WiFi but with hardly any signal the wifi was very slow.
The shower was amazing, very powerful and persistent hot water. The room was clean enough, but there was some cobwebs on the walls.
Overall I would stay here again as the man on reception made us feel very welcome. Such a shame there isn’t a breakfast option as this would be such a hit with other customers.

We stayed here for one night before an early morning flight from Manchester. There is plenty of parking here and you need to let reception have your registration details so that you are not charged, but that was all very simple.

This must be one of the oldest Premier Inns in the country and the rooms still have real keys. The rooms are the old style PI rooms, which is fine and the beds are still very comfortable.

Both members of staff we dealt with were very polite. We arrived too late and left too early to eat, so can’t comment on that. Maybe next time!

No complaints at all and we would certainly stay here again before another early flight.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights just before Christmas. It was a last minute booking as a family member became ill and we needed a local hotel. We have stayed in various Premier Inn hotels many times over the years but this was the first time in Handforth.

It is easy to get to, close proximity to Handforth shops, pubs etc., has good parking facilities but the hotel itself is a little 'tired'.

It is right beside the Bulls Head which is very handy for brunch or a meal and drink in the evening, and only a short walk to your room!

The hotel decor and carpets were dated and first impressions from the car park were not great.

However, all the staff we met, reception, night security, housekeeping - were very pleasant and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The room decor and furnishings were dated but it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

We will be booking to stay there again in March and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. It does exactly what the advert says - gives you a good night's sleep at a very reasonable price!!!

We chose this property as we had an early flight from Manchester Airport. The location was great. It was less than 10 minute drive which was great. We had to be at the airport for 4 am and the roads were nice a quiet unlike the people staying above our room. Honestly it was like having a heard of elephants above us. Definitely rooms need sound proofed. Some people obviously have no respect for other people staying there and maybe should appreciate why people are staying there. In our case to save travelling 3 hours+during the night.
We always chose to stat at a premier Inn as they have a pub/restaurant attached so we could have something to eat and drink. This was a problem for us as when we went into the pub/restaurant a sign stating you have to have reservation to dine. We asked the person behind the bar if it was possible to have a table for the 4 of us as we were staying at the premiere Inn and we were not informed that we would have to book to dine . He said he would have a word with his manager. When he came back they said they were sorry but it was bookings only!!. We could not believe they would turn away a family that would have spent in excess of £100 as the place was almost empty.

My stroke impaired father and elderly mother stayed in one of the "Accessible" rooms in this hotel, which was not very well set up for accessibility. Among the issues:

1) the beds were very low, which in fact made it harder for him and my elderly mother to get in and out of them.

2) The beds were on wheels and would just roll around, meaning a good chance they would roll out from underneath someone trying to get up or sit down.

3)The "accessible" bath/shower was not walk-in, it just had a lower edge, with all the controls at the bath tap level (for the lower height), making it impossible to use for people who cant bend down easily , or who have trouble stepping over a lower, (but still quite high), edge. As a result my father could not shower during his (luckily short) stay.

The main thing they had that worker were handles near the sink and toilets, and a call button/chord you could trail on the floor (should the bed roll out from under you when you try to lie down)

Don’t pay for parking. - the sign says you will be fined £100 if you don’t; when you register inside they explain (to late) that you don’t have to pay.
Room was very cold, 15.5 degrees is not comfortable at all; the only heating provided by a small wall mounted electric heater stuck in a far corner. Thick dust on the lamp bedside the bed. Towels were not fluffy but rather harsh. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was not a nice experience, the egg tasted off, the black pudding was dried out like black cardboard, I didn’t finish my breakfast.
We will not be going back to this hotel.
We have stayed at many Premier Inns in the past, which is why we booked to stay at this one and all the others have been very good, but Handforth leaves a lot to be desired.

Hotel is in a good location, close to airport and local shops. Staff friendly, rooms dated, access at night hard, two plug sockets in a family room - one was broken/loose, no access to breakfast (pub is not owned by brewers fair) - recommend the bakery in the "paddock" Handforth for carryout all day breakfasts. No air con in room, very hot at night with only a fan and the 3 inches the windows open(for security). Showers are good.
