22 of us from one family visited for a pre-ordered meal on New Years Day 2017 as guests of our elderly mother. The ambience was lovely & the waitresses polite and very nice. HOWEVER, thats where the pleasantries end! The food was truly awful. It deviated from what was PRE-Ordered and on the whole was inedible. The light, airy parfait...

I bought customers to the Legh Arms whilst staying in the area for work. It was very quiet being early January but it did not disappoint, the service was remarkable and the food was beautiful. What a lovely pub!

I have visited here with the family at Christmas so many times that it has become part of our Christmas tradition. However, to say that the Christmas meal this year was disappointing was probably a huge understatement!! The pub has lots of tradition yet the quality of the food has dropped so low we just could not eat it. It...

Bit of an unplanned visit, our usual haunt being closed for a Christmas party or at least the aftereffects thereof, so instead popped in here for a spot of lunch. Had the salmon risotto which was delicious and inexpensive. Will have to make another spontaneous visit in the future.

We have been coming here for many years and usually had a reasonable dining experience in a stunning setting. How times have changed! We visited recently the atmosphere is just sad its the only word for it. No music on, no smiling faces, untrained very unwelcoming staff ( just a minute whilst I do this first, and a very straight...

Having enjoyed a Christmas meal here for the past two years we were looking forward to the return visit. As soon as we entered the pub we immediately noticed a difference. Downstairs there were only a couple if tables laid out for Christmas lunch which seemed a little strange. Last year it was packed with diners. No crackers on the...

Fantastic chilli, mulled wine and mince pies beautifully served by some equally sumptuous staff. Not sure what they put in the mulled wine but it certainly warms you up. Put me in fine voice for a couple of carols at the lovely church conveniently situated across the road from the pub.

I had attempted to book 3 rooms online but received no response (which should have started the alarm bells)' so I rang and made the arrangements with a very helpful lady. As we checked in we were asked at what time did we want breakfast and we were curtly told that breakfast wasn't served till 9.00am - if only that...

Love the thai green curry here! The food has always been extremely good! We love the people here and the waiters/ waitresses are always lovely. Sometimes I do feel, there need to be more waitresses in the restaurant.
