The Lodore Falls hotel is in a stunning location near Lake Derwentwater and in front of the Lodore Falls. From the front aspect, the building looks very grand and beautiful. Spotting the hotel from our boat-ride on the lake, my husband and I decided to have morning coffee in the hotel bar area before heading off on our walk. As...

I and 9 friends visited the Lodore Falls Hotel and booked the separate Lodore House nearby for my Hen weekend in June 2015. It was spectacular! Lodore House is spacious, luxiorious and the views are breathtaking. We arrived and the fridge had been filled with fresh bacon, sausages, eggs, tomato's, mushrooms, eggs and milk. We had one chilly night and...

I stayed at Lodore Falls for two nights to celebrate our friends' wedding. The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning. Being right on the lake's edge with a beautiful view out over Windermere, this hotel certainly has a unique selling point. I could have looked out over the lake all day, especially as the weather was very pleasant. Parking...

Attended a wedding here and was disappointed. The staff were very hit and miss especially the bar staff who I had to ask for something to put my sons wedding cake in. I had to repeat myself before he understood me and then it took him ten minutes before he fetched me a small bag to put half a tier...

Had a girlie day at the Spa including a wonderful lunch. Arrived at 10 to fruit platter and tea/coffee. Robes and slippers provided. Times given for treatments and hot tub. Was a very lazy relaxed day. Food excellent. Summer holidays meant it was busier than usual for us.

Just come back from a weekend stay here with family for my cousins wedding and I have found this place to be in the top ten of my favourite hotels. Family friendly and animal friendly. Spotlessly clean and the staff would bend of backwards to help you out. All breakfast staff superb and Geza on reception is first class. I'd...

Had a 3 night midweek stay at the hotel for a walking holiday. Easy to park over the road from the hotel which was very secure with a passcode to get out of the car park. Hotel clean and room comfortable and view just ok for a fell side room depending on which window you looked out of. Room facilities...

On arrival we knew we were at a special place ,from the immaculate grounds to the epic scenery that surrounds this little corner of lake district heaven. We bought 2 lake view room deals from secret escapes, it included breakfast, 3-course dinner and welcome tea and cake on arrival. It was £199 each room for 1night. Let's start with the positives. The location is wonderful, our room overlooked the sheep field, the lake to the hills opposite. Couldn't get enough of the view. The grounds were a delight, manicured lawns, beautiful flowers and plentiful birdlife. The lounge bar, also wonderful. However, the included dinner was middle of the road at best. Obviously all pre-made and slapped...
