Small shop in Boot. One pub in Boot (the Boot Inn), another between Boot and the campsite (Brook House) and a third brilliant pub for ale and food a short walk to the east (the Woolpack). They have their own pizzeria. Ravenglass is nearest town to drive to 20 minutes west, otherwise you're about 50 mins or so from Ambleside etc via Hardknott Pass.
We had a great time at this campsite and would certainly go again. Might want to check the weather forecast if you're negotiating Hardknott Pass by car.
