Had the misfortune to get a table here at the weekend actually on our wedding anniversary we only arrived in the area for the week the night before everywhere else was full. Now I realise why they had room, I suffer a fairly severe but unusual food allergy when I told the waiter he actually laughed in my face as...

My husband came in here to ask to book a table for two and was told they serve food at six pm. As it was around five thirty he asked to book a table after six. He was told "we get very busy after six can't fit you in" Dont bother going to this place unless you're local. However, we...

We booked dinner for 7 people on Good Friday and had a fabulous meal. The pub is under new management and has just been refurbished. It is now spotlessly clean and whilst it retains the character of the old pub, it is bright, spacious and attractive. Our food was truly excellent, with a good choice and large portions. The wine...

We were recommended this place by the pub opposite, who were full, and we were very impressed indeed. Second night open under new management and they didn't dropped the ball once. The waiter was accommodating when we asked for the kids' meals to come out with our starters, the food was tasty, well presented and generous, and the real ale...

Visited the pub for a meal and was delighted with the whole experience. The menu was very good, catering for a wide range including child menu. My party had six different dishes and everyone was very tasty, all with clean plates at the end. The T bone steak, cooked to perfection, the chips were chunky, crispy and soft in the...

Myself & friend went to this Country Pub in search of a traditional Sunday lunch after a beautiful walk in the surrounding countryside. We had our dogs but there was a huge sign on the door saying 'pet friendly' so we walked inside. The pub had an awful smell and maybe a handful of people. We found a table to...

Thank you for posting a review about our service here at the old kings head. We're very sorry to hear that your experience wasn't a good one. Myself and other members of the team cannot apologise enough, although we are having a period of staffing problems that is no excuse. All we can say is thank you for bringing this...

Had dinner here tonight. Pub has a nice, welcoming, but little dated atmosphere. There were a few people present at the bar, but the dining area was not very busy. We came in at about 7.45pm. We got our menu's at the bar and took our seats. We ordered soup of the day, steak and chicken. Food was very tasty...
