A fantastic place to stay and excellent value!!!! The caravan is so cosy and the toilet & kitchen area are spotlessly clean and have everything you need. Lots of nice little extras that make it special. The bed is super comfy!!!! We didn’t want to leave. We went on a lovely 10k walk from the caravan up to the woods and reservoir area. Fantastic views and very peaceful.
Just back from a lovely night away. We stayed in the Garden Room which had its own front door. The room was beautiful with a log burner, homemade flapjack, tea & coffee making facilities fresh milk, water, wine glasses, TV & DVD player (with a selection of DVDs) & candles. The bathroom was beautiful too with lots of lovely touches. Tina provided lots of breakfast choices with homemade bread & a range of times in the dining room. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Four legged companions are also made very welcome. It was a lovely break away & a short drive from Cartmel village.
We stayed at the Blue House to extend our holiday on the way to Scotland by spending a day in the Lakes. We were delighted with our stay here. The house is beautifully decorated and ihas a warm, cosy cottage feel. The room wasn't en-suite but we had a large, well appointed bathroom right next to our bedroom on a private landing so it was as good as. There were homemade flapjacks (delicious!) awaiting us in the room along with dog treats for the dog! The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a long time. The food was clearly good quality fresh local produce. We felt very relaxed and at home here and wish we could have stayed longer. You are about 10 mins drive from Cartmel here and in a great location to explore the southern Lakes. We paid £75 for bad and breakfast for 2 adults + dog which felt like an absolute bargain. Would hihgly recommend.…
Just a few miles outside Cartmel, and within easy striking distance of both Windermere and Coniston Water, The Blue House B&B is a treasure just off the beaten track. Your host is Tina, a bubbly and attentive lady who welcomes 2- and 4-legged guests with equal enthusiasm. I stayed upstairs in a beautifully presented cottage bedroom with its own bathroom off the landing. With 2 further ground floor rooms and a travellers caravan in the garden, you’re spoilt for choice. Tina’s breakfast options of traditional cereals, full English or pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, are prepared on a traditional aga, accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and OJ.
