We stayed here in November and it was fantastic. We had a large group with 8 couples and 7 kids and the accommodation was ideal. With a group this size it was so nice everyone got a good sized double room with ensuite, so no one got the raw end of the deal. The living and dining areas were great,...

Just back from a weekend at this beautiful house. We were part of a party of 23 and although I had seen the photos I did not expect the house to be as stunning as it was and the livingroom so cosy especially as it had seats for 25! Was very easy to find with lots of parking as we...

Gorgeous accomodation with underfloor heating, 10 bedroom all ensuite-tour on arrival with all amenities. Amazing views from nack of the cottage. Plenty of parking-we had 5 cars for family of 23 for 7days. Owners were very helpful-would definitly recommend it.

We booked the house for a weekend away with friends. The house itself was beautiful, a stunning conversion with lovely rooms (all with ensuite facilities with underfloor heating) and in a wonderful location. Stopping us from giving it a 5 star review were: the kitchen was small and lacked equipment needed for serious catering, no towels were included in the...

Our accommodation was clean and very comfortable. Located close to Cockermouth our base was any easy drive from all of the scenic delights of the Western Lakes. Our hosts, Zen and Jayne, couln't be...

I stayed in stable one, the bed was lovely and the shower was brilliant. Otherwise everything was very basic in the room, nothing special although the view was lovely. Breakfast was good, service friendly, location was convenient; 5minute drive to cockermouth and easy drive to several lakes. No internet access!! Also the bathroom was poorly ventilated so was always damp,...

We spent three nights at this rural b and b within easy reach of Cockermouth. It is clean and welcoming. More information about facilities in the area including good eateries would be helpful.

My wife and I have stayed at The Old Homestead with a group of friends for the last four years. We always receive a warm welcome from Jayne and Zen. The character accommodation is spacious, warm and clean with excellent en suite facilities. A number of lakeland walks are within easy reach and the venues for the Keswick Jazz Festival...

This is a fantastic place to stay. It's in a nice quiet spot with stunning views but within easy reach of Cockermouth and the best of the Lakes. The place is beautifully decorated throughout. The rooms we stayed in were spacious and airy and the beds are tremendously comfortable. The breakfast was perfect - the cooked breakfast was just the...
