Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We book for 5 nights in August, fortunately the weather was ok. The caravan was very disappointing. Very dull and not properly cleaned. We found fingerprints on mirrors in our bedroom, the sofa just stunk of dogs, because main guests who come here are dog owners. I don't mind dogs, but the owners should make sure that they clean properly all carpets and upholstery afterwards. We actually vacuumed ourselves when we arrived, but those hovers left here, had very poor suction. Only things to do here is going for a bit of walk. There are some water sports going on here as well. The beach close by has got no water, it's only wet sand and stones. The restaurants are ok, but not great. Very poor choice of food and only cooking until 5pm. After that only drinks. I am publishing some photos of our lower value caravan. Because when we were booking, we only saw some very nice photos, which wasn't the real picture. Just to say, we won't be coming back .

Stayed here in a private air bnb. The site itself does look a bit tired in some places. Some great modern caravans but some others really in need of upgrading and a few were eyesores with broken and rotting decking. The general site grounds themselves were not in great condition and areas like down the left side of the ski bar were an absolute mess. A great location facing the lake and the beach is a cracker. It just feels like the site in general needs some investment. If I owned a van here I’d be asking what my fees where paying for

Pleasantly surprised with the caravan we hired for the couple of days we had it & for the price we paid. Clean & roomy. Reception phoned as we arrived with the number of caravan we were staying in & the number for the keycode to get the key.
Twin beds are great for kids maybe put them together for adults.
Short walk to the beach which was pleasant. & the lake infront of the site was great as one of our party had his canoe with him. Tide wasn't in till 17:00.
I know we all use our phones but I'd say this caravan could do with a clock in it. Only criticism.

Went for a long weekend and stayed in a lodge sea-clusion. The accommodation was in need of a deep clean. Dirt round the bin in the kitchen, towels had seen better days. Makeup stains on bedding and the whole place felt a little tired. The rug in the living room was tatty and torn and looking old. For safety reasons we put our dogs bed over this. We accepted this as the park in general was lovely with plenty of walks and a fab bar (Ski Bar) On returning home the host contacted us to say we had damaged the rug and therefore would not be returning our bond. If booking please make sure on arrival you inform hosts of anything you feel could later come back on yourself and make sure pictures are taken of any faults with furnishings. This really has left us feeling gutted and won’t be returning

Me and my family have just been to stay for the weekend in sea-clusion lodge (caravan) Jan and Ross own the 2 lodges that are at the far end. On first arrival It seemed okay not amazingly looked after the huge stench of dog took my breath away as we first walked in in every room, mess around the bins, bedding had not been changed and make up stains on the sheets and I had found wet towels in the wardrobe from the previous tenants.

The lodge was very tired and needed a good deep clean inside and out. on our arrival the rug and puffy were damaged the rug had a hole in and puffy had a hole in and missing Pom poms so we moved the puffy out of the way for our stay HOWEVER we were then blamed for the damage and no deposit returned the owner saying that my dog had caused the damage which he had not.
I am a reasonable dog owner so my dog is always cleaned after walks and wiped down, is well house trained and only lets off an occasional bark so I was extremely disappointed that we were blamed for their own damages to their property.

All in all owners ruined a perfectly happy weekend so won’t be staying back at the site or lodges

We are very disappointed that day after reservation we have received an email that the lodge we booked its not available due to sofa bed being broken, they then insisted us to cancel our holiday despite we already make other travel arrangements and expenses. After telephone calls they then said that the lodge is up for sale now instead of having broken bed. They where very rude to us too saying that if we don't cancel we will not get our money back. Terrible service and avoid if you can!

This us the second time I've said at Port Haverigg marina. Again my stay was faultless, I stayed in on of the lodges with a hot tub. On arrival, the heating had been turned on. The beds all made up and lovely fresh towels. I had a small issue with the tv, but this was rectified within minutes of me reporting it.
This place has so much to offer, a small pub/restaurant and the marina ski bar. The hills and fabulous coastal walks.
Every member of staff I spoke to were lovely and pleasant, liz should be so proud of her staff and park.
Can not wait to return.

If I could give 0 I would. This review is regarding the hire of 2 lodges TRANQUILITY and SERENITY which are next to each other, owned by Rachel/David Slater.
We booked both lodges to stay to go to our Father’s funeral. Lodges cost £100 night.
TV was not working, it wasn’t at Christmas either when my sister stayed. No WiFi, burned down candles left on coasters, large drawer shoved under dressing table had lots dead insects in. One toilet roll in each toilet. No ironing board. We found the lodge disappointing for the money without the issues. The lodge could have been cleaner also. My husband moved a bean bag to sit on and hundreds of polystyrene balls fell out, the bag was either ripped or not zipped properly. We then had to spend hours trying to get these balls off the floor, the Hoover was not working properly so had to use dustpan and brush. We did not need this night before the funeral. My niece paid the deposit of £100. The owners would not give her the full deposit back, they kept 50 to replenish the balls! They said we had broken the Hoover and WiFi had been tampered with. Complete rubbish! We are insulted and very annoyed. The usual place we stay in holiday village does not take deposit when we stay every few weeks, as we always leave it pristine. This has never happened to us before. We were all very upset for the reason we had to be there and the owners attitude has made us feel even worse. We are disgusted at their greedy/petty attitude. We will never stay at these lodges again. How these people treat their guests like this is appalling! We are not leaving this and will take matter further.

DO NOT DO IT - SERENITY LODGE- DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR IT!!!! I don’t usually post any reviews on sites like this but this time I have felt compelled due to the circumstances. This has to be the most horrendous, awful and disgusting experience we’ve ever had staying anywhere, ever. Myself and my partner travel the world and we have never been treated so despicably - In fact we usually leave a hotel/lodge/caravan with love, warmth and kindness from the owners. Also - I live in a city we constantly use Loch Lomond lodges - these are sooo much better, for SERENITY AND TRANQUILITY it cost £100 per night - for this you get...

1) a smelly lodge/sofa (it smells like they found it at the tip)

2) A random drawer in the middle of the room full of loads of dead insects.

3) A broken bean bad that you WILL be charged £50 to replenish 7 tiny polystyrene balls.

4) NO TV WORKING

5) NO WIFI.

6) SPIDERS AROUND THE WINDOWS IN THE BEDROOMS.

7) NO WORKING HOOVER.

8) ASKED TO CHANGE BED SHEETS ON DEPARTURE.

9) CANDLES BURNT DOWN ON COASTERS AND LEFT ON MAIN COFFEE AND DINING TABLE

The list goes on and on... I book a beautiful lodge in Scotland for the same price of £100 per night but you get so much more... inclusive of a indoor heated hot tub! There is working tv in every room and WiFi for all to connect too. ITS NIGHT AND DAY!

DO NOT STAY HERE... THEY WILL KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT FOR NO REASON!!! (The person that stayed before was also accused of her kids drawing on the sofa, this was untrue as there were no pens within the vicinity. It came to fruition that it was the family that were there before who’s children had drawn on the sofa. These owners are money grabbing, nasty people. Please be warned.

These awful owners have made up lies for us not to get our deposit back.
My family and I stayed for a family funeral whichwas bad enough but these liars have made it unbelievable. we have stayed before the owner being very happy we left lodge very clean and tidy. there reason..... there was a crisp bag, there wasn't! even if there was cleaner pick it up! Towels stunk, not washed. bathroom stinks. TVdidn't workand much more. RACHEL AND DAVID SLATER SHOULD HAVE GIVEN US MONEY BACK! She said hasn't been for weeks. CHECK LODGE BEFORE GUESTS as well after them leaving Rachel. All rapidly gone down hill £100 a night??? never again. Total pure rip off.
