The lakeside is a lovely traditional clean hotel, it's tastefully decorated with lots of charm. The bedrooms all have individual features, the beds are huge and comfy. Food was lovely and the staff are very attentive. I would definitely stay again.

Me and my wife booked this hotel last minute for a two night stay,we checked in on Thursday, the room was average I personally thought for the price as we stay in hotels and also work in 4 star hotel ourselves, the room had all the features you would expect but thought the general cleanliness could have been higher. But from...

This hotel is to a good standard but the high level of service I have had in the past seems to be slipping. on arrival I was informed they were too busy to give me my room key as the were about to help leaving party onto a bus but we were invited to take tea in the conservatory whilst...

Added extra night to our six night stay as we were so at home at Lakeside. The staff really made us feel welcome. Katie on Reception was super efficient when we had a hiccup with the bill - no excuses - just sorted it out. The Lakeside Restaurant is sumptuous, yet people like Laura were delightfully down to earth -...

On our rainy stay we were grateful for the many different hotel areas to relax in - the conservatory overlooking Windermere lake, the lovely bar overlooking a little garden, the library and other nooks and crannies. Also, being unable to fit in walking on some days, it was great to use the gym to get a bit of exercise. The...

Just had our second weekend break at this hotel and have to say our experience was even better than our first. Only my second visit and my wife's third visit but it was like being home from home, welcomed by name on arrival and treated like valued friends. We love the service at reception, baggage handling, and car parking not...

This is a fine hotel, with an aura of grandeur throughout. The main attraction at ground level is the large conservatory overlooking the rear garden and lake. A very nice place to sit and relax. It is in a somewhat remote location at the southern edge of Lake Windermere, though easily accessible from the main A590 road. There is a...

The hotel is a beautiful hotel in a fabulous setting. The Spa facilities are modern and convenient. Unfortunately one of the staff due to deliver a treatment for us was ill which put our schedule out a bit but the hotel reorganised it and extended both the time the kitchens were available for and extended our checkout time at their...

The Lakeside hotel is full of old world charm and luxury. The food is superb and the staff where all very attentive. On checking in we where given a brief tour of the hotel as this was our first visit, which proved very useful. The Spa was very clean and we where lucky to get it to ourselves. The room...
