Nice caravan site. The caravan was clean and tidy, the lounge area was spacious and kitchen well-equipped. The downside was the noise of traffic. The caravan site is close to a busy main road and we could hear the traffic throughout the night. The location in the South part of the Lakes is not ideal.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this online review. Unfortunately I suppose it might be a small compromise to be in such a beautiful part of the country. I hope this has not put you off to rebook with us again in the future. Stay Safe Kind Regards Gail Stevens Customer Services

We stayed in Ashness for 3 nts in August 2020. On arrival the caravan was clean and felt safe (although I did wipe down the surfaces again due to Covid-19), the 'check in' was all contactless and again we felt attention to customer safety had been observed. I was disappointed that the site took the money from my account 2 weeks before arrival despite the booking confirmation saying it would be taken out on arrival and although it wasn't a problem financially it could have been if I hadn't budgetted for it, also there was a lack of communication from the site when I questioned this. Back to our stay, I emailed the site ahead of arrival to enquire about road noise and was told it shouldn't be a problem for the unit we were allocatec, it was and could be heard quite clearly late at night. There is also a sewer smell outside from a nearby cesspit. The bed in the double room was awful, I did think for the price they're charging (nearly £200 per night) they could invest in new mattresses for the comfort of the guests. While we were there (for 3 nts), the door on the smaller bedroom jammed and then came away from the door frane, the shower rail fell off the wall when I pur a sponge on the connected soap dish and the pressure on the boiler kept dropping so the heat went off - not what we expected for the price paid. The problems were all fixed during the day whilst we were out but it was all disappointing and there are plenty of other places to stay in area. It's unlikely we'd stay at this site again.

Pretty expensive for a cramped caravan park with uncomfortable beds and road noise. Probably wouldn't stay here again. The lakes are very nice though but its quite a trek from the caravan park. I'd also take a fan with you as it gets extremely warm inside the caravans.

Thank you for your online review. We are sad to hear that you found your stay only average. Unfortunately where the caravan park is situated, you will have the road noise. Maybe next time you should try one of our Lodges which will certainly give you more space. Please stay safe. Kind Regards Gail Stevens Customer Services

Honestly we had the best time! Our caravan was really lovely and spacious for our family of 6. The beds were lovely and comfortable we slept so soundly. The park was lovely for the kids. It was immaculate and the location was perfect for exploring the lakes. It really was a home from home. we loved every second of our stay. Thankyou so much
