Just had another long stay at the Cross Keys, once again, it was faultless, great food, decent rooms, very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day. Will be back to stay when ever we can. Thanks to Ian and all his staff.

We visited this pub one Friday afternoon after a long week at work. We noticed that they do a steak night on Friday so we decided to be lazy and have a meal instead of having to cook. The food was excellent and cooked exactly as we asked. Will definitely be back for another steak, might even try the curry night.

The room was small but very clean. In the room there was a small sink, a flat screen TV and tea & coffee. The rooms were located right next to the pub but were there was no noise coming from the pub. The full english breakfast was included in the price and I have to admit it was one of...

We stayed for one night on our way back home to visit a friend who lives nearby. The hotel is fine if a bit of a rabbit warren, and could be noisy if you were on the front, but we weren't. The bar was very busy when we arrived on Sunday afternoon but, again, it didn't affect the noise level...

Called in for a drink but wasn't keen on the beers so went for gin and tonic. That was fine. But the place is full of televisions, we counted at least 7 and the place is not a huge cavernous place. We sat opposite the bar and there were 4 or 5 playing different things above the bar. Why? Then...

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this pub come hotel and we were not disappointed in the least. Situated just 7 miles south of Kendal but within easy reach of the Lakes it makes this hotel a convenient base in which to explore. The Cross keys itself is a large pub with loads of space with...

I stayed at the Cross Keys Hotel on 15/8/16 for one night only in order to attend a wedding at the Villa Levens, which is about 4 miles up the road. On arrival at the Cross Keys there is a large car park at the rear of the pub, which is free. Check in was easy enough and I was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel is surrounded by a wealth of history, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, such as Leighton Moss, and a wide range of visitor attractions Milnthorpe has a long history - its busy Friday street market in the Square dates from 1334.
