We were made to feel welcome at this family run guest house and had comfortable, well equipped rooms. Our stay was very relaxed despite the Corona Virus restrictions. There is a choice of places to eat in the village, the following morning were sent off with a highly adequate packed lunch
Fantastic accommodation - we stayed in an apartment and were really impressed. The apartment was decorated to very high standards and the owner couldn’t do enough for us. I only leave reviews for outstanding or poor places and this is the former. Highly recommend.
Lovely place to stay in a favourite area for us - Storm Dennis didn’t put us off and we braved the elements. Dog friendly and great facilities. Owners daughters looked after our meals and welcomed us as Parents we’re away and Mom and Dad should be proud
A large group had afternoon tea in the newly decorated dining area which a fabulous picture of St Bees head and beach on the one wall. Being the only vegan in the group I was quite nervous about what I would get as too many places really can't be bothered to make any effort for vegans. I really needn't have worried! I had finger sandwiches with vegan cheese and tomato and avocado which were delicious. On another plate there was carrot, peppers, a little side salad and hummus, as well as little pastries filled vegan cheese and 3 cakes. It was absolutely delicious! It was enough for 2 people so I took the left overs home to finish later. They really went to so much trouble and checked with me that I was happy with it. I was delighted!
We had a great room in the "Milking Parlor". There were pictures of the original milking parlor on the walls and a very nice "sun" room attached. Very close to the train station and the pub downtown. Easy walk to a historic abbey nearby.
