Had lunch in the dining area. The service was excellent and menu was fine, I would particularly recommend the haddock goujons, which one of our party had. I will definitely be having them next time I visit.

We have been coming to the Manor for evening meals for a number of years and have never been let down, if anything it just gets better, great service. Allan the owner is a very hard working, welcoming host, the food is cooked and served to the highest standard, the draught alcohol is without doubt the best in the area, nothing is to...

If you are hungry & find yourself passing The Manor in lovely St Bees, make sure you walk straight past and find somewhere else to eat. This is a case study in bad management; a well situated pub/restaurant in a pretty village that manages to be comically dreadful. We waited 40 minutes for a simple order while other people who...

Went today with husband and 2 grandsons ( 2 and 6 yrs) . Ordered chicken nuggets for 2yr old and spag bol for 6yr old off children's menu. Waited a long time to receive food, no apology for delay, nuggets were chicken deep fried in batter and greasy , spag bol had no taste, served in a small bowl with...

Myself and husband went to stay for 1 night, what we had booked last year from booking.com. We booked a superior room, when we arrived we was put in a standard double room, there was 1 big towel left for 2 people?? No pillow cases on the bed?? And when asked for them had to wait a good few hours...

We stayed at the Manor House the night before we started the Coast to Coast walk. The inn is a short walk up hill from the train station. We arrived in the early afternoon and checked in with the man behind the bar who provided a key and took our dinner reservation along with a packed lunch order for the...

Just a one night stay and turned out to be a great hotel. On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome by mine host Alan and although it was after 2pm were offered sandwiches and hot drinks. When shown to our room we were escorted to room 10 in a very quiet position in the hotel, which was...

Ideal on a cold autumn day to sit by a wood fire and enjoy a lovely meal. I had honey roast ham, there was lots of it and it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit. The staff were friendly and the service very efficient.

I regularly stay here when I am on business. The rooms are nice clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. The breakfast has good choices. The food in the restaurant is always good. The bar has a good friendly atmosphere and is patronised with locals and tourists.
