My wife & I are staying here for 2 nights on a trip back to the UK from Namibia to see family and friends. Even though the weather was pretty atrocious (for us sun-loving visitors anyway), we received a warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to a well-appointed double en-suite room, with wifi access. The meal on the...

Just had dinner in a beautiful quiet pub tucked away in the small village of Uldale. Home cooked food including handmade chips, fresh vegetables and great mains at a reasonable price. Well worth the trip from Keswick or Bassenthwaite. I would definitely go again!

My husband and I recently visited the Snooty Fox with two friends and we'd all like to say how much we enjoyed the experience. We could not have been given a warmer welcome from Pat and her team and no request was too much trouble for them. Our rooms were quaint and spotlessly clean, and the beds gave us all...

Dinner for 4 kids and 3 adults, can prove tricky to keep everyone happy but the Snooty Fox did it with in leaps and bounds. Man sized portion control, local beers on tap, good kids menu - happy days. Great setting, really friendly staff, lovely food. Worth the trek if your close

We happened upon yhe Snooty Fox whilst looking online for somewhere to spend our second night in the lakes. Our first choice only had the one night available. Reviews looked good so decided to give it a go. We are so pleased we did. From the time we arrived and a young gentleman showed us in til the time we...

Don't stay here if you have a small appetite or you are anti social. As suggested the breakfast and dinners are huge from an excellent menu and the owner Pat and her staff are friendly and very efficient. The local clientele enjoy the great selection of ales and were keen to share their knowledge of the district - they were...

We called by this pub for an evening meal as it had been recommended. The food was, as has been noted, well cooked and homely, and the beer, a brew specially made for the pub, was excellent. The landlady was polite and attentive and we were served efficiently and pleasantly, but somehow there was something missing - atmosphere, other folk...

We have just come back from our first visit and a great 4 nights at the Snooty Fox. We can honestly say that it is one of the best places we have ever stayed. Comfortable room, welcoming staff and wonderful meals produced by Mark, their very talented chef. So thank you again to Pat, Marie and Mark for your friendly...

This inn really has it all, fantastic food, great views, real ale and friendly staff. Just had a really wonderful weekend there. The food is all freshly cooked from locally sourced produce and if you are lucky enough to chat to the friendly chef he will tell you where it all comes from and how it was cooked. This place...

We have regularly visited the Snooty Fox (over 8+ years) and without fail its our favourite pub in the Lakes. Wonderful food - particularly the Lamb Shoulder and Fillet Steaks (be prepared to leave very full!) and friendly, approachable staff. Real ales on tap and a decent wine list which should easily satisfy most. Lovely, hidden area of the Northern...
