Fantastic BnB! We wished we'd been able to stay longer. The owners are really warm and welcoming and so accommodating! They even got up at 5.30am on Sunday morning to get us breakfast before we dashed off to our triathlon event. I was really surprised at how extensive their vegan breakfast menu was and the porridge is sublime! 100% recommend the place. The bed was very comfy too and we even got a visit from a cat (we left the window to wide open, ha-ha).

A chance find and what a gem ! The welcome was friendly and the accommodation superb. Dinner on the first night was delicious ...restaurant quality and we wished we’d booked to have dinner every night of our stay . Breakfast was exceptional , and our packed lunch was very filling . Ann and David were very helpful and we can’t wait to return for another visit.

Anne and Dave provided easy instructions on how to get to their farmhouse (Waze and other sat navs would not pick it up) and we were pleasantly greeted by Anne who made us a nice pot of tea with some yummy slices of cakes after a 7 hour long journey was definitely welcome!! She was incredibly welcoming and easy-going, helping us with wifi, local places to eat and a great knowledge of the walks around Lakes. The room was so cosy with the separate bathroom we had private use of - this didn't put us off one bit. Shower is a good powerful one, towels hairdryer and a bathrobe are provided along with the bits necessary to enjoy a cuppa in your room, you could just ask for fresh over UHT milk!! Breakfast was simply scrumptious, a starter followed by your main prepared fresh, great tea and lovely coffee. They even offer packed lunches and afternoon tea for a set price - really worth the packed lunch especially if you're going on a walk or going back with a long road trip ahead of you! Just great relaxed friendly hosts with a great home, would reccommend and would also love to come back! Thanks Anne and Dave!!

A short drive up the lanes off the A590 and you're there. A warm welcome was given by Anne and our room overlooked the fields. Our cosy room had everything we required and the sizeable en-suite had bath and a great shower. Every night's sleep was good, fresh air and a comfy bed. Breakfast is made to order either cooked or lighter options and tastes great. We toured around but if we had been grounded we could have enjoyed the garden or if the weather was poor sit in the lounge by the fire if its cool. We found good places to eat locally, just a short drive away, just ask Anne for her advice.

We had the most delightful, but all too brief stay with Anne and David. Their home is stunning and they offer a very cosy living room with well lit wood burner for guests to enjoy, comfortable beds, clean and well appointed bathrooms and delicious breakfasts. Just sad we couldn’t have stayed longer, but we do know where to come back to next time we’re in The Lakes! Thank you both for having us to stay. The Wisker family
